Background / History

Rayleigh joined Roger after Roger invited him to seek Laugh Tale while Rayleigh was relaxing aboard a stolen ship. He became Roger’s first mate and accompanied the crew through its voyage, including the construction of the Oro Jackson at Water 7 during Roger’s final years. 137 194

During the God Valley Incident, Rayleigh and Scopper Gaban held back Shiki while Roger and Garp fought Rocks. Their actions prevented Rocks’ escape after Shiki was forced back. 405
