Whenever a mortal made a choice, his own destiny was created by him and simultaneously appeared in the enormous Book of Destiny held by the Endless.
If a mortal chose to change his destiny, that would also be reflected in the book.
Ultimately, the destiny of the Endless was the concept of destiny itself. Under normal circumstances, he could not possibly appear before mortals, much less offer some so-called "prophecy."
Many people seemed to have confused Destiny with a prophet. Destiny was merely a recorder—or, rather, a blank sheet on which things could be written.
