Tyrel’s allies defeated Ragnaros and Nefarian’s forces, rescued the dragon captives, and thwarted Liandara’s attempt to seize Quel’Thalas. The fighting between the Dark Iron and Bronzebeard Dwarves ended in a stalemate when news arrived of a Qiraji threat spreading across southern Kalimdor.

• Hill Lord Rundane accepted the Sulfuron Hammer from Foreman Ofist and rallied the Dark Iron Dwarves, but Grand Duke Kael'thas defeated him before Tyrel sealed Kael'thas and handed him over to Rundane.
• Tyrel joined Rend Blackhand and the dragons in a battle against Nefarian and Ragnaros, and the allies killed Ragnaros after Luminas and Duke Hydraxis used the Essence of Water to weaken him.
• Rend betrayed the wounded Nefarian, then planned to move the Blackrock Clan to Kalimdor while Tyrel and Alex prepared to reforge Thunderfury.
• Liandara lured Anveena and Kalecgos to Morningstar Tower and revealed her alliance with the Scourge, but Anveena broke free, destroyed the tower, and forged a staff from Kalecgos’s sacrificed soul.
• Tyrel learned from Vaelastrasz that Korialstrasz had placed Red Dragon life essence within Anveena, while Magni marched to confront the Dark Iron Dwarves over Moira, Uldaman, and their earlier attack.
• Rundane and Rend fought Magni’s forces in Searing Gorge, where Magni overpowered Rundane and fought Rend until both were gravely injured.
• Mekkatorque’s forces brought the battle to a stalemate, and Tesseran and Brann announced that Qiraji nests had appeared across Silithus, Tanaris, and Feralas.

The factions formed an alliance against the Qiraji while Alex and his allies confronted the black dragons, and the campaign opened new fronts against the Scourge. The stretch ended with Garithos entering Andorhal to fight the Death Knights.

• Rilas and Shandris agreed to a truce after Garrith challenged Shandris’s prejudice, and the elves began preparing a joint campaign against the Qiraji.
• Alex helped destroy the Aberrant Insect nest near Gouresh, and Anveena, Tarecgosa, and Sarasil raised a magical shield over Feralas.
• Alex recovered Varian from the Defias Brotherhood, then joined the coalition in defeating Nefarian and his black dragons.
• The allied factions appointed Garrith supreme commander and Fandral deputy commander, while Rilas’s forces built Sindra Fortress and repelled the Twilight Cult’s assault.
• Kel’Thuzad’s Scourge attacked Hearthglen, where Taelan rallied the defenders and the Awakened and Draenei arrived to help repel the assault.
• The Nerubians attacked the Undead Bastion, where Anub’sereth revealed that the Awakened had freed him from the Lich King and fought Anub’Rekhan.
• Garithos ignored Hercule’s plan to take the Arathi Highlands and marched into Andorhal, where he confronted Razuvious and the Death Knights.

The Awakened and their allies fought the Scourge across Andorhal and Scholomance, then united to destroy Kel'Thuzad’s assault. The story shifted to the Qiraji war and Tyrel’s campaign against Zul'Aman, where the Loa-blessed gates still stood against him.

• Garithos’s battle against the Scourge turned when Thule Ravenclaw’s Rotten Gnolls and Archmage Arugal’s Worgen tore through the undead, while Prince Garrin joined the Blood Elf campaign after they promised to help reclaim Stromgarde.
• High Magister Astalo led the coalition into Scholomance, where Blood Elf forces fought the Barovs and Dark Mages before Ganser Arcanus killed Rhaes Frostwhisper and Sinfer helped Astalo imprison Jandice Barov’s soul.
• Kel'Thuzad’s arrival forced the coalition to flee Keel'daron Island, where Saloren and Nightbane held off Saphiron long enough for the allies to escape before Astalo destroyed Scholomance.
• Kel'Thuzad brought Naxxramas to Andorhal and raised a vast Scourge army, but Saloren rallied the Eastern Kingdoms Allied Forces as Prophet Velen and the Exodar warship joined the battle.
• Prophet Velen killed Kel'Thuzad with Holy Light, and the Exodar warship sank Naxxramas into Lake Keel'daron, though Saloren warned Sylvanas that the war was not over.
• Alex, Leotheras, and Rilas Windrunner led the assault on Moam, draining its stored energy until it could no longer reflect their attacks, while Fandral and Rilas defeated General Rajaxx’s ambush in the Qiraji war.
• Alexandros led the Scarlet Crusade into Corin's Crossing and confronted Saidan Dathrohan, while Tyrel sent the Dawnblade Legion east and went to face Zul'jin’s Forest Trolls in the Ghostlands.
• Tyrel routed the Forest Trolls but learned that thousands of Blood Elf Rangers had died, then led the Blood Elves to Zul'Aman, where their attacks failed to break the Loa-blessed gates and Zul'jin recognized Tyrel’s immense strength.
