Ch. 2029Immortal Underworld Confrontation (2)

Mokaste killed the Star Cosmos King and learned that the Gluttonous Snake Dominator had escaped with Abaddon through a special law power. As the Minghe Empire finished purging the Cosmos Great World’s invading Dominator projections, Mokaste ordered the last battle ended and turned his attention to a gathering force at the Star Region’s border.

  • The Minghe Empire routed the remaining Cosmos Great World resistance, plundered the fallen plane, and pursued its fleeing forces toward the star-region border.

  • Mourinho charged Mokaste, and Vivian and Danielle soon joined him, leaving Mokaste to face at least six opponents.
  • Mokaste laughed at the pressure and fought freely as the imitation Heavenly Seal in Duobao Daozun's hand cracked apart.
  • Duobao Daozun used the Yin Yang Mirror against Mokaste, but it barely slowed him, then struck him with the more powerful Three Treasures Jade Ruyi.
  • The twin phoenixes attacked from Mokaste's flanks while Bull Demon King and Danielle fought him from the front and Vivian bombarded him from afar.

  • Saine saw that the God of Evening Drool had established busy trade operations with Zerg King Worms, who preferred selling goods to Saine's fortress.
  • Saine learned from Yuli that Fumila and Gongsun Wudi were still fighting on the Yin Howl Mountain Range battlefield, while most of the Divine Descendant World had fallen to the Wizard Civilization faction.
  • Saine handed Yuli the Unicorn Pegasus, changed into a laboratory coat, and began an experiment combining purified Dominator's Blood with Blood Crystals.
  • Saine consumed Dominator's Blood and a top-grade Blood Crystal, and azure flames rose from him as his elemental energy and physical constitution improved.
  • Yuli watched Saine's transformation with delight while Flame Mark quietly accompanied her.

  • Saine summoned his Planet-Class War Fortress and ordered the Faceless Mask to gather information about the Dominator War as he collected Ark energy.
  • The Blade Empress and the Thunder Beast King damaged the Ark further, while the Blade Warrior scolded the Thunder Beast King for nearly destroying the secret treasure.

  • Blade Queen Lisa recognized the significance of Marduk’s Multiple Divinity, and Marduk sent its subsidiary divinities in every direction across the battlefield.

Ch. 2040Battle for Subsidiary Divinities

  • Marduk scattered thousands of Subsidiary Divinities across the Divine Descendant World, giving his remaining forces hope of gaining power by fusing with one.
  • The Blade Empress sent Tianming Emperor, the Demon King, the Zerg Dominators, and others to pursue the fleeing divinities while she and Fempton confronted Marduk.
  • Marduk merged with the shattered Ark and attacked the Blade Empress, using its weapons to support the escaping divinities as they battled.
  • Saine saw red, blue, and purple divinities approaching and chose to pursue the crimson Level-6 Peak fire-element divinity rather than continue collecting the Ark's law energy.

Ch. 2041Fusion One-on-One

Saine and Fumila fought the Scorching Fire God after he merged with Marduk’s Level-6 Peak Subsidiary Divinity. As their battle wore on, Marduk’s influence began to change the god, who fixed his gaze on the Magic Cube in Fumila’s chest.

  • Marduk’s Subsidiary Divinity entered the wounded Scorching Fire God, greatly increasing his power, and he knocked Yuli aside before challenging Saine.
  • Saine agreed to fight the Scorching Fire God one-on-one while the surrounding Wizard Civilization experts gave them room.

  • Gongsun Wudi fought a Level-6 god empowered by a divinity and remained in control of the battle.
  • Setum watched Saine and Fumila fight the Scorching Fire God and was impressed by Saine’s strength and their smooth fusion.

Ch. 2042Branch Divine Sense

Marduk’s Branch Divine Sense took control of the Scorching Fire God and attacked Saine, hoping to reach the Magic Cube before being defeated. Saine fought back with stored bombs and scrolls, weakening the flames and blasting out a trace of the Scorching Fire God’s own divine sense.

  • Marduk recognized the Magic Cube’s power and regretted not seizing it earlier to improve his Ark’s chance of escape.
  • Saine attacked the Scorching Fire God with amplified elemental magic, while Marduk countered with overwhelming fire power and charged toward him.
  • Setum and the others offered to help, but Saine chose to face Marduk first and record the battle for later study.
  • Marduk struck Saine with a Fire Pattern Palm Print, sending him flying and scorching his metallic body.
  • Saine unleashed stored Magic Energy Bombs and scrolls, whose attacks hindered Marduk and weakened the Scorching Fire God’s flames.
  • Saine’s bombardment blasted a trace of the Scorching Fire God’s divine sense out, and Marduk struck his own chest while ordering it back inside.

Ch. 2043Inert Energy

Saine’s use of an Inert Crystal drew the attention of Zerg forces and the Blade Empress, who planned to obtain samples after the war. As Marduk’s Ark neared destruction, he redirected it toward Saine’s battlefield, preparing one last attack on the Divine Descendant World.

  • Marduk struck the Scorching Fire God’s original divine spark, and its consciousness fell silent beneath Marduk’s will.
  • Saine’s burst of inert energy drew the attention of Zerg across the surrounding battlefields, who recognized the crystal’s value.
  • The Blade Empress noticed Saine and decided to obtain Inert Crystal samples from him after the war.
  • Marduk spotted Saine fighting the Scorching Fire God, then was impaled again when the Blade Empress attacked him.
  • Marduk redirected his collapsing Ark toward the place the Blade Empress had watched, hoping to make one final strike against the Divine Descendant World.

Ch. 2044Ark Assault

Saine fused with Fumila and the Planetary Fortress to battle the Scorching Fire God, overpowering him with giant punches and elemental beams. As Saine prepared a finishing attack, Marduk’s battle with the Blade Empress brought a massive shattered Ark crashing toward him, forcing him to brace for impact.

  • Saine merged with Fumila and the Planetary Fortress, transforming into a giant fortress robot and charging the Scorching Fire God.
  • Saine used Ashes of Fire to strengthen his attacks, battered the Scorching Fire God into a crater, and blasted him with beams from a magnified elemental mask.
  • The Scorching Fire God’s will fought Marduk’s Branch Divine Sense for control of their body as Saine prepared a particle beam and forbidden spell to finish him.
  • An alarm alerted Saine that Marduk’s battle with the Blade Empress had shifted nearby, and a huge shattered Ark began plummeting toward him.
  • Saine redirected his weapons toward Marduk and the descending Ark, lowered the fortress robot’s body, and braced to withstand the impact.

Ch. 2045Dominator War Experience

Marduk drove the damaged Ark toward Saine and the Divine Descendant World in a desperate attempt to destroy them, forcing the Blade Empress to intercept him. Saine struck Marduk and shattered the Ark’s barrier, but with his strength nearly spent, he faced the incoming crash as the Dominators closed in.

  • The Blade Empress chose to meet Marduk’s suicidal charge, holding up the descending Ark while stabbing Marduk inside it.
  • The Blade Empress called on Fermton to stop the Ark, but his Touches of Death could not reach it in time, and Saine ordered nearby allies to retreat.
  • Saine fired his particle cannon and completed a forbidden spell, striking the Ark and shattering its crystal-blue barrier around Marduk.
  • Saine noticed the wound he had inflicted on Marduk and felt the full force of Dominator might as the Ark and Blade Empress drew closer.
  • Saine’s strength ran low, leaving him braced in the fortress robot as the Ark continued its descent.

Ch. 2046Going to One's Death

Saine and Fumila struggled to escape the devastation of Marduk and the Blade Empress’s clash, but Saine’s use of the Magic Cube drew Marduk’s final fury. The Blade Empress rescued them from the Ark’s crash, and Saine ended the chapter holding a piece of its core.

  • The Blade Empress urged Saine to leave his giant fortress robot as Marduk’s dying body and Ark pressed down on them.
  • Saine used the Magic Cube’s Law of Light to reinforce the robot, revealing its energy to Marduk and provoking his final attack.
  • Fumila took the crushing pressure from Saine and tried to push him to safety, but Saine refused to leave without her.
  • The Blade Empress pulled Saine and Fumila from the robot just before Marduk’s Ark crashed into the ground and exploded.
  • As the Blade Empress carried them away, Saine activated the Magic Cube and drew in several Ark fragments, including a piece of its core.

Ch. 2047Life Mucus

After Marduk’s fall devastated the Divine Descendant World, the Blade Empress carried the unconscious Saine to safety. Saine later woke in a Zerg Base’s nutrient pool, recovered most of his injuries, bottled some of its Life Mucus, and stepped into a dim corridor.

  • The Dominator Marduk’s death unleashed shockwaves that annihilated lesser creatures and battered the Divine Descendant World.
  • The Blade Empress carried the badly injured Saine and Fumila away from the battlefield, and Saine merged with Fumila before passing out with the Ark Core Fragment in hand.

Saine emerged from the Zerg recovery base and learned that it lay inside the Rank Eight Zerg companion Fempton, where the Zerg had built their Empress Palace Complex. He discovered that the Blade Empress had left, while his angel robot Fumila was being repaired, and prepared to leave with the Blade Warrior.

  • A Rank Five Blade Warrior met Saine and explained that the recovery base was inside Fempton, whose body housed the Zerg’s core Mother Nests.
  • The Blade Warrior described Saine’s special privileges and offered to show him Fempton’s cavities and let him collect Death Crystals.
  • Saine asked to thank the Blade Empress, but the Blade Warrior said she had already left and offered to pass along his request to meet her.
  • Saine learned that Fumila was undergoing repairs using equipment the Zerg had acquired from technological civilizations and the Galente Federation.
  • The Blade Warrior pointed out that the Zerg structures behind Saine formed the Empress Palace Complex, with the Empress’s residence as its tallest building.

Ch. 2049The Divine Descendant Star Region War Ends

After recovering from his ordeal inside Fermton, Saine returned to Tianming Empire territory, gathered materials, and resumed his experiments while repairing Fumila. The last hostile Dominator, Venerable Mu Ge, then fell, leaving the Divine Descendant World’s resistance nearly wiped out and the star region’s war effectively over.

  • Saine explored Fermton, collected Death Crystals and Zerg egg embryo specimens, and left with the recovering Fumila.
  • Saine established a temporary Laboratory Base, contacted Gongsun Wudi, Beipeng, Mel, and the God of Black Mist, and learned that his Planetary Fortress had been destroyed.
  • Saine promised the God of Black Mist compensation for the lost fortress and resumed his experiments, with Yuli available to assist him.
  • Two years after Marduk’s fall, Venerable Mu Ge perished, and Saine concluded that the Divine Descendant World’s resistance had been nearly purged.

Ch. 2050Good Person

  • Saine continued his research after the war while the allied forces handled the Divine Descendant Star Region's recovery.
  • Setum brought Saine the Scorching Fire God's corpse and Marduk's Level-6 Peak subsidiary fire divinity, explaining that he had killed the weakened god.
  • Saine gave Setum a large bottle of Life Mucus in return for bringing him the divinity.
  • Setum refused to take the Scorching Fire God's corpse and asked Saine to keep the Life Mucus gift secret.
  • Saine agreed and called the exchange proof of their friendship, while privately doubting that demons could be good people.
