| Affiliation | Wuji Heavenly Court |
| Occupation/Role | Ruler of the Immortal Realm; Immortal Emperor |
| Status | Active 344 348 |
| First Appearance | Chapter 117 |
Background / History
Wuji became the current Immortal Emperor after Ling Xiao lost the Immortal Emperor Fruit Position and fell from the Immortal Emperor realm. Wuji subsequently trapped Ling Xiao deep within the River of Time, though Ling Xiao retained enough influence in the lower realms to remain a major threat. 159
As Immortal Emperor, Wuji rules from the Wuji Treasure Hall at the center of the Immortal Realm. The hall serves as both his imperial court and the base from which he monitors other realms through the Heaven-Gazing Mirror. 117 159
His reign is defined by his effort to eliminate Ling Xiao's remaining influence, secure Ling Xiao's Epoch Treasure Vault, and prevent unpredictable “variables” from threatening his authority. Although he views the lower realms as dangerous, he initially avoids descending personally, instead observing, manipulating proxies, and allowing potential threats to develop until they can be suppressed. 183 237 269
Appearance
Wuji is depicted as an imposing imperial figure seated upon the throne of the Wuji Treasure Hall, clad in a golden Emperor Robe and radiating pressure that compels submission. 117
- Thick brows and crimson-gold pupils. 159
- Wears an Emperor Robe when presiding over the Heavenly Court. 117
- His Immortal Emperor Dharma Form can manifest in multiple bodies and forms during battle. 342 343
Personality
Wuji is calculating, patient, and intensely cautious. He recognizes that unknown variables can disrupt cause and effect, so he prefers surveillance, indirect control, and carefully measured interventions over direct exposure. 159 183 277
He is notably unwilling to directly engage with the lower realms. His apparent obsession with cleanliness is tied to the lingering foundation of Ling Xiao's nine epochs: the lower realms contain remnants of Ling Xiao's Dao legacy that can undermine Wuji's authority outside the Immortal Realm. 197 339
Wuji is also ruthless in preserving his position. He ignores the financial strain caused by his pursuit of Ling Xiao, authorizes suppression of ambitious lords to fund research, and consumes the origins of possessed cultivators when necessary to sustain his Immortal Emperor power. 237 263 291
His confidence can become underestimation. Chen Yi repeatedly exploits the delay in Wuji's remote methods, ambushes his projections, and forces him to reassess the danger posed by the lower realm. 261 290 342 343
Abilities & Skills
Immortal Emperor Fruit Position
As the current Immortal Emperor, Wuji possesses the authority to control Heaven and Earth; only one being may hold the Immortal Emperor Fruit Position at a time. This authority makes an Immortal Emperor effectively invincible within the proper conditions of the Immortal Realm. 159
- Has condensed at least 250 origin Dao marks, greatly exceeding the forty-nine marks associated with advancement to the Dao Ancestor realm. 342
- Can use origin Dao marks to create Dharma Bodies with near-zero feedback delay from his true body. 342
- His power is comparatively less secure in the lower realms, where Ling Xiao's ancient Dao foundation remains influential. 339
Origin Dao Mark Dharma Forms
Wuji can manifest Immortal Emperor Dharma Forms through origin Dao marks, allowing him to battle or travel without personally exposing his true body. 338 342
- Created eight phantom Dharma Forms to surround Chen Yi and form a golden sealing cage. 342
- A single origin Dao mark Dharma Body could evade Chen Yi through the River of Time and traverse the Void Domain. 338 340
- His Dharma Body was damaged by Chen Yi's surprise attacks, but remained capable of forcing Chen Yi's six-star clone into a defensive response. 342 343
Heaven-Gazing Mirror
The Heaven-Gazing Mirror is Wuji's primary instrument for observing the lower realms and directing operations from the Wuji Treasure Hall. 159 183
- Observes events, individuals, resources, and abnormalities across realms. 159 183 277
- Can serve as a medium for projected attacks, such as Wuji's giant hand used to seal off an area of the Immortal Realm. 259
- Allows him to monitor possessed agents after he severs direct contact with a divided soul, reducing karmic contamination. 277
- Its remote feedback delay can be exploited by opponents acting directly through avatars. 238 244 287
Will Projection and Possession
Wuji frequently acts through wisps of will, divided souls, and possessed bodies rather than descending himself. 238 277
- Suppressed Little Golden Dragon's consciousness and controlled his body in combat against Chen Yi. 260 261
- Attached a strand of will to Zhang Qian and Zhang Aotian for surveillance during their mission. 286
- Possessed Yin Yang Daoist and elevated the Grand Unity cultivator's combat ability with Immortal Emperor-level mechanics. 289 291
- Remote projections suffer from reaction delay and cannot provide the same immediate feedback as his origin Dao mark Dharma Body. 238 290 338
Supreme Domain and Immortal Emperor Mechanics
Wuji employs highly advanced combat mechanics that can suppress stronger opponents by controlling fields, movement, and power interactions. 291 292
- Supreme Domain — Establishes a domain in which Wuji alone stands supreme, suppressing the phenomena and movement of nearby Grand Unity cultivators. 291
- Heaven and Earth Limitless: Myriad Laws Return to One Finger — A finger technique that instantly dispersed Chen Yi's halberd-generated force field. 342
- Chaos Torrent — A killing move empowered by a Chaos Supreme Treasure; it threatened to overwhelm Chen Yi's six-star avatar before Chen Yi's Will Dharma Form negated it through Absolute Evasion. 343
- His top-tier mechanics can suppress Chen Yi's five-star Chaos clone even when the clone is capable of overpowering ordinary Great Luo beings. 261 291
Borrowing Ling Xiao's Law
Despite being Ling Xiao's enemy, Wuji can borrow Ling Xiao's power through the Primordial Creation lineage. 290 292
- Used Ling Xiao's power to suppress four Grand Unity ancestors while possessing Yin Yang Daoist. 290
- Can trace power back to its origin through borrowed Creation authority. 290
- Little Golden Dragon's interference can disrupt this borrowed authority because of his connection to the Primordial Creation Plate. 290
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Heaven-Gazing Mirror — Surveillance and remote-control treasure used to observe the lower realms and direct proxies. 159 277
- Creation Qiankun Plate — A treasure formed from the Primordial Creation Plate fragments and the Dao Ancestor-level Qiankun Yandao Wheel; Wuji wielded it through Little Golden Dragon's body. 260 261
- Chaos Supreme Treasure — An unnamed Chaos Supreme Treasure used to produce a destructive Chaos Torrent through Wuji's Dharma Body. 343
- Wuji Treasure Hall — His imperial hall and operational center in the Immortal Realm. 117 183
Relationships
- Ling Xiao — Predecessor and principal rival. Wuji rose after Ling Xiao lost the Immortal Emperor Fruit Position, trapped him in the River of Time, and continues searching for his Epoch Treasure Vault. 159 237 340
- Chen Yi — Major adversary and unpredictable lower-realm variable. Chen Yi repeatedly steals Wuji's subordinates, disrupts his plans, ambushes his projections, and pursues his Dharma Body through the River of Time. 243 261 338 342
- Little Golden Dragon / Zhao Huazhen — Artifact spirit of the Primordial Creation Plate whom Wuji guided, trained, influenced, and eventually possessed for combat. Chen Yi later separated Little Golden Dragon from Wuji's control. 159 251 260 262
- Zi Lingyun — Former loyal student. She betrayed Wuji after learning that he had destroyed the Thunder Spirit Clan, helped conceal Wu Jinzhou's identity, and took her own life after revealing her actions. 237
- Chen Ye — Seal Keeper Immortal Official and trusted confidant tasked with investigating threats within the Heavenly Court and later sent on a secret lower-realm mission. 243 344
- Liu Xiaoyao — Hall Guard Heavenly General, World-Scouring Commandant, and Wuji's trusted inner guard. 243 344
- Chi Guowei — God of Wealth and trusted official who supports Wuji's resource-gathering and suppression campaigns. 263 344
- Yin Yang Daoist — Grand Unity cultivator used by Wuji as an unwitting pawn and later possessed directly during the Five Elements Mountain conflict. 277 289
- Shen Lingxi — One of Wuji's generals, whose Primordial Spirit Chen Yi freed from Wuji's control. 246
Story Role / Major Arcs
Investigation of the Primordial Creation Plate
Wuji discovers Little Golden Dragon and the shattered Primordial Creation Plate through the Heaven-Gazing Mirror. He determines that the dragon is the artifact spirit of Ling Xiao's Dao-proving treasure, suspects the involvement of an unknown variable, and chooses to guide the artifact spirit toward the Immortal Realm rather than personally descend. 159
Lower-Realm Containment
After observing Heavenly Immortals harvesting lower-realm resources, Wuji concludes that the lower realm cannot be touched recklessly. He instead decides to let dangerous variables grow until they become certain calamities, then suppress them. 183
Wuji closes or restricts access through the Immortal Gate while maintaining control over ascension and the flow of resources. When pressured by his officials, he permits Immortal Realm cultivators to descend but forbids entry into the Immortal Realm. 186 269
Conflict over Group One and Little Golden Dragon
Wuji turns Group One members into puppets and focuses his attention on Little Golden Dragon, whom he trains by fusing the dragon with a Dao Ancestor-level treasure. Chen Yi gradually rescues the controlled members, beginning with Shen Lingxi, but initially avoids directly taking Little Golden Dragon because Wuji is constantly watching him. 240 246 251
Chen Yi eventually abducts Little Golden Dragon using a Chaos Supreme Treasure and imprisons him in the Wushi Tianshu Mirror's Karma Mist Space. Wuji takes over the dragon's body to fight Chen Yi, but his wisp of will is trapped and self-destructs before it can be interrogated. 259 260 261
Chaos Supreme Treasure Research and Secret-Realm Intervention
Concerned by the Karma Mist Space's ability to sever causality, Wuji begins a major project to investigate Chaos Supreme Treasures and considers reconstructing the Primordial Fate Reversal Banner. He funds this effort through the suppression of ambitious Immortal Realm lords. 263
During the Five Elements Mountain conflict, Wuji manipulates and possesses Immortal Realm cultivators through the Heaven-Gazing Mirror. He directly possesses Yin Yang Daoist, deploys the Supreme Domain, consumes the origins of his vessels, and clashes with Chen Yi inside the Karma Mist Space. 277 289 291 292
River of Time Pursuit
Wuji closes the Immortal Gates and assigns Temporal Investigators to patrol the River of Time, seeking to prevent Ling Xiao from exploiting temporal loopholes. He remains focused on obtaining the Epoch Treasure Vault, which he sees as necessary to restore the Immortal Realm's prosperity and remove hidden threats. 340
Chen Yi secretly follows Wuji through the River of Time and repeatedly attacks his origin Dao mark Dharma Body. Wuji initially attempts to evade and test Chen Yi, then battles him with multiple Dharma Forms and Chaos Supreme Treasure power before deciding that continued descent into the lower realm is too costly. 338 342 343
Secret Lower-Realm Mission
After his conflict with Chen Yi, Wuji summons Chen Ye, Liu Xiaoyao, and Chi Guowei, then dispatches a secret team toward the lower realms. The operation is later identified as being led by Chen Ye and Liu Xiaoyao. 344 348
