Ignorance Was Also a Blessing
Should I stay at home?
Qin Tiantian sat at the table, looking at the somber atmosphere around her, and felt that she should have stayed at home playing video games instead of running over here as soon as she heard that hot pot was being served.
To the left of the table was Feng Yu. She had taken off her long trench coat, revealing a suit jacket and trousers that resembled business attire. Her braid was hanging down in front of her shoulder, a hairstyle that looked more like it would turn someone into a dog than a dangerous one.
On the right side of the table was Xiya, a blonde girl wearing a gray robe that revealed her white, lotus-root-like forearms, slender collarbones, and elegant neck. She was barefoot on the ground, like a mistress of the house who had just gotten out of bed.
Sitting opposite Qin Tiantian was Lu Ban, who was holding a newspaper and pretending to read it attentively.
"Let me introduce myself. I am Feng Yu, this person's classmate, and she is Qin Tiantian, who is considered an employee of his company."
Feng Yu said to Xiya in front of him.
"Xiya, we are comrades who fight together."
Xiya spoke with righteous indignation, appearing very spirited.
She used a language-based magic, which, simply put, made her words understandable to the people of this world, so that they sounded natural.
"You mean making movies?"
Qin Tiantian glanced at Xiya. She was indeed very beautiful, and had everything she should have, but nothing she shouldn't.
She didn't recognize him at first glance, but after thinking about it carefully, she realized that he was one of the lead actors in several of Lu Ban's movies.
Wait a minute, one of the female leads is in the director's bedroom, and she's wearing clothes like that... could it be a secret relationship?
"That's right. Xiya and I are partners who fight together. We've been through a lot together. She came here this time to discuss the theme and content of our next work."
Lu Ban explained.
"I see."
Qin Tiantian suddenly realized.
Indeed, many works are not the creation of the director alone, but the result of collaboration with actors and screenwriters. It is reasonable for Lu Ban and Xiya to discuss the work.
Although it's hard to explain why Xiya was wearing such clothes in Lu Ban's bedroom, Qin Tiantian felt that there are so many things in life that cannot be answered. If you try to find out the answer to every single one of them, you will definitely have less time to enjoy yourself and become unhappy.
Therefore, Qin Tiantian felt that ignorance was also a blessing.
Although some people call her silly or a coin, Qin Tiantian thinks there's nothing wrong with being a mascot.
"Since that's the case, shall we have hot pot together?"
"Give up and forget about it, "Qin Tiantian suggested, no longer bothered by Xiya's identity.
Having resolved the previous issues, her heart has been captured by hot pot, and from now on, she may never experience joy or sorrow again.
Just thinking about the sliced pork kidneys, duck intestines, tripe, and beef aorta sizzling in the chili oil made Qin Tiantian's mouth water.
What is hot pot?
Xiya looked at Lu Ban, hoping to find an answer.
"It's delicious."
Lu Ban spoke the truth.
"I want to go."
Xiya immediately became Qin Tiantian's accomplice.
No mission or the Silent Land matters when faced with delicious food.
"How about we go to that hot pot restaurant on the back street?"
Lu Ban made the suggestion.
"Is she going to change her clothes?"
Feng Yu glanced at Xiya. Putting aside the possibility of attracting attention, she would definitely be freezing cold if she went out dressed like that.
"It's okay, I can change quickly!"
When Xiya heard that there was something delicious to eat, she became much more motivated.
"I thought I would be in a safe place, so I only wore my usual study robe. I can change into my outdoor clothes right away."
As she spoke, she raised her right hand and snapped her fingers.
The next moment, steel armor materialized beneath the gray robe. In an instant, in less time than Sailor Moon's transformation, Xiya had completed her costume change.
"Wow, that's amazing."
Qin Tiantian was dumbfounded, and the cat was shocked for a whole year.
"Is this some kind of advanced Sichuan opera face-changing technique?"
She couldn't fathom where Xiya's clothes had come from; everything had happened in the blink of an eye.
"Isn't it inappropriate to wear this out in public?"
Lu Ban glanced at the arm armor that could kill a bull with a single punch. If Xiya were to wear that out, she would probably be on the front page of the Jiangcheng Evening News tonight.
"Is that not allowed? But I dress like this in other exotic lands."
Xiya rested her chin on her hand in thought, then suddenly felt a little troubled.
"I don't have any other clothes either. We don't care much about what we wear."
Upon hearing Xiya's words, Feng Yu spoke up.
"I happen to have some clothes here, so I'll lend them to you. I don't know if they're too big."
She opened her suitcase and took out a long-sleeved shirt.
Xiya took the clothes, pulled the robe off her arms, and then began to change.
"Don't look!"
Qin Tiantian hurriedly covered Lu Ban's eyes.
That being said, with Lu Ban's [True Sight] vision, he could see everything clearly even if it was blocked.
Subsequently
"It's a little tight."
Xiya tugged at the fabric of her clothes.
No one knows what she ate to grow up like that, but Qin Tiantian is definitely envious.
Feng Yu's eyes were sharp, as if they concealed knives.
Fortunately, although the civilization of the Night Country is somewhat different from that of this world, the basic functions of clothing are similar. Unlike some African tribes that have special ways of dressing, Feng Yu taught her for a while, Xiya quickly changed into a set of clothes.
Long-sleeved shirts, knitwear, long skirts, and tights—quite fashionable and stylish.
In addition, Xiya already had a very good appearance and figure, making her a natural star.
Moreover, if Lu Ban wasn't mistaken, Xiya wasn't using any makeup; she was completely bare-faced. Even in this condition, her looks were still so striking. If she were to dress up carefully, she would probably be photographed by passersby and trend on social media the next day.
The four of them went out and arrived at a hot pot restaurant on the back street.
"Just put the meat and vegetables in the pot, and after a while you can take them out to eat. You can also dip them in sauce."
Qin Tiantian enthusiastically taught Xiya how to enjoy hot pot. As a girl from a southwestern province, she felt like every hot pot restaurant was her own, and she was very fond of it. Teaching others how to eat hot pot was also a great pleasure for her.
Although Xiya didn't know how to use chopsticks very well, her experience in the Ruined City gave her some basic skills. Qin Tiantian taught her for a while and she learned almost everything. It's no wonder she's the top student in Gray Tower; she learns everything very quickly.
The atmosphere became more harmonious as the four of them ate hot pot.
After finishing their hotpot, Lu Ban went to pay the bill, and Feng Yu followed him.
"She's a mage from the Night Country?"
Feng Yu asked, it seemed she had been to the Night Country, and at least had some understanding of that exotic land.
"Yes, this might be related to the Amusement Park by the Ling River. Do you want to come along?"
Lu Ban asked as he scanned the QR code to pay.
Do you want me to come with you?
Feng Yu looked at Lu Ban with a smile.
"Of course, how could I not be willing?"
Lu Ban couldn't be happier for Feng Yu to go with her. After all, she was a seasoned veteran, experienced and knowledgeable, and had seen all sorts of storms. Perhaps her presence would make things easier.
"Alright, but I also need your help with something."
Feng Yu agreed readily and continued speaking.
"Didn't I just say there's something going on in Massachusetts? You should find some time to make a horror movie soon, and contact me when you do. We might have to go there together."
"This is something I'm good at."
Lu Ban didn't ask any further questions, put away his phone, and prepared to go back and call the two girls to leave together.
But as soon as I turned my head, I saw that my table was now surrounded by a crowd.
"You're the actress who plays Xiya, right? Could you sign my autograph?"
In the crowd, a computer science student with thinning hair pointed to his head and said to Xiya.
