"It's fine. This is part of the plan too. Sivie's niece is still on the 1st Floor. She's a Witch Apprentice; as long as she remains there, the ritual on the 1st Floor won't fail."
Miss Sylvia gripped Shade's arm, and Shade nodded lightly.
"Seven forty-one. Seven minutes left."
"Hm?"
Priest Augustus, who was standing in the corridor, suddenly looked toward Dorothy's window.
"Detective, I sense a familiar power—an Edge of Life and Death is unfolding nearby."
"An Edge of Life and Death?"
"Very close, extremely close. It's an exit opened by unstable space. No, I have to deal with it, or its range will keep expanding. If it gets out of control, the consequences will definitely be severe."
"Priest, I'll go with you."
Doctor Schneider spoke as well. The two nodded to Shade and jumped straight out the window. Although this was the third floor, it was no great obstacle for the priest and doctor.
"How could it be such a coincidence?"
The three relics provided by the Witch Council—the Keeper of Secrets Level Hide and Seek Wardrobe, the Sage Level Invisibility Cloak of Escaping Death, and the Keeper of Secrets Level Concentric Sword—had all been brought into Dorothy's room.
The wardrobe stood in the corner. If no one had pointed it out, Shade might have failed to notice it.
Other than Dorothy, Leisha, and Angelina, everyone had temporarily gone into the corridor. Shade and Megan stood before the wardrobe in the corner. The girls watched Shade anxiously, but he gave a slight shake of his head.
"Five minutes left."
He gently hugged Megan, then realized that the Witch who seemed so calm was actually trembling slightly.
He smiled at Megan, draped the silver Invisibility Cloak over himself, and entered the wardrobe without closing its door for the moment.
