At fourteen, Gao Wu survived a beast invasion because someone sacrificed themselves to save him. The experience gave him a defining ambition: become the world’s strongest and eradicate exotic beasts and evil entities. He was later adopted by Shang Hongyi. 3 23 59

He possesses the Boundless Merit Book, which rewards good deeds. Before his rise in formal competition, Gao Wu was already known as “Gao Sheng” for his habitual charity and willingness to help strangers; he is first shown preparing to rescue a drowning girl. 1 23
