Background / History

Qin Liuhe was a pioneering figure in human martial arts. By studying ancient Taoist texts and exploring Secret Realm ruins, he condensed a Spirit God and entered the Epang Palace Divine Realm, where he became trapped. His rise also helped strengthen the standing of traditional culture over the following century. 59 397

While confined within Epang Palace, Qin Liuhe retained the Tianming Jade Seal and manifested through his Spirit God. Gao Wu first encountered him through his Yin Spirit in the Hall of Ten Thousand Souls; Qin Liuhe recognized Gao’s ability, explained the nature of the Spirit God, and sent the verification phrase, “The Dragon Aspect leads,” to Qin Jiuyue. 268 269

Qin Liuhe offered the Tianming Jade Seal to Gao Wu, honestly estimating only a twenty-to-thirty-percent chance that Gao could successfully inherit it. After Gao declined, Qin Liuhe instead passed on the Nine Dragons Boundless Dao, a martial art he had created from a century of martial experience and his understanding of divine domains, artifacts, gods, and demons. 271
