Sages stand above ordinary Primordial cultivators. Hongjun's Sage pressure forces even Grand Luo Golden Immortals such as Zhunti to kneel, while the combined presence of six Sages can make beings below the Sage realm prostrate involuntarily. 9 89

A Sage's aura and pressure can overwhelm lesser beings, compel reverence, and manifest world-spanning celestial phenomena. 9 70 89

Heavenly Dao Authority

Hongjun Daozu becomes the first Sage of the Primordial Era, prompting countless innate beings to seek Purple Cloud Palace in hopes of finding their own path to Sagehood. 7 9 12 His lectures later establish the framework for Heavenly Dao Sagehood, including the Three Corpses, Primordial Violet Qi, and entrusting one's Nascent Divinity to the Heavenly Dao. 50

Hongjun accepts the Three Purities and Nüwa as disciples, then accepts Jieyin and Zhunti after their plea. The resulting Six Sages of the Heavens become the foremost Sage faction of the era. 50 51 78 Nüwa's creation of humanity, the Three Purities' sect founding, and the Western pair's borrowing of merit rapidly expand the number and influence of Sages. 70 75 77

Taiyi's attainment of Dao in Primordial Chaos disrupts this order. The Six Sages attempt to coerce him at the Sun Star, but Taiyi kills Zhunti and later Yuanshi, proving that Heavenly Dao Sages can be defeated and slain. 89 92 115 After the conflict, Laozi apologizes to Taiyi and asks about his cultivation method, while the other Sages begin doubting Hongjun's teachings on Heavenly Dao Sagehood. 95
