Organization

• Spirit Hall maintains branch halls in every city. The branches in the capitals of the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires are designated Martial Soul Holy Halls, whose hall masters are said to be Soul Fighting Luos above level 80. 2

Recruitment and Recognition

Spirit Hall actively seeks exceptional Soul Masters. During the Heaven Dou City awakening ceremony, Deacon Mocha attempted to recruit Ye Zhou after he awakened the Sun Moon Halberd and tested as having Innate Full Soul Power. Prince Xue Xing prevented the recruitment, insisting that noble children of the Heaven Dou Empire should attend Heaven Dou Royal Academy instead. 2 3

Its recruitment offers can include material support, status, servants, wealth, and an Honorary Elder position. Platinum Bishop Salas used these incentives while attempting to recruit Shi Jian, but Shi Jian initially demanded enough funding, land, and manpower to rebuild Maoshan as a sect comparable to the Top Three Sects. 20

Spirit Hall nevertheless recognized Shi Jian as Thunder Fiend Douluo and granted him formal robes, a crown, and a title decree. He accepted the position of Honorary Elder while remaining independent. 33 34

History

Martial Soul Awakening Services

Spirit Hall’s public halls conduct annual Martial Soul Awakening Ceremonies. Children stand inside an awakening formation while a deacon uses Soul Power to summon their martial souls, after which a Crystal Ball measures their Innate Soul Power and attendants record the result. 2

The organization’s broad presence allows nobles and common Soul Masters alike to access awakening and registration services. Its reputation as the “sacred land” of Soul Masters also made it a natural destination for new Soul Masters seeking recognition and advancement. 9 34

Yan Chixia Joins Spirit Hall

Yan Chixia deliberately revealed his extraordinary strength after awakening the Xuanyuan Sword martial soul, intending to attract Spirit Hall’s attention. He sought to join the Worship Hall rather than serve under Bibi Dong, believing Qian Daoliu to be more righteous and hoping to influence the Soul Master world’s highest decisions. 9

After defeating Falling Devil Douluo, Yan Chixia was received by Qian Daoliu and temporarily assigned to the Elder Hall. Spirit Hall publicly promoted him as a once-in-ten-thousand-years rarity: a man who awakened his martial soul after age fifty with level 92 Innate Soul Power and later acquired nine Ten Thousand Year soul rings. 14 31

Heaven Dou City Presence

Yan Chixia, Ghostly, and Yue Guan traveled to Heaven Dou City to confer Shi Jian’s Titled Douluo title and invite him to become an Honorary Elder. After Shi Jian accepted, the three did not return to Spirit City; Yan Chixia ordered that they take over the Heaven Dou City Martial Soul Holy Hall, with Salas assisting them. 33 34

Yan Chixia justified the move as a way to monitor the emerging Maoshan Sect, respond directly to regional conflicts, maintain relations with local factions, and pursue merit and soul bones for Spirit Hall. 34

All-Continent Sect Conference

Spirit Hall convened the All-Continent Sect Conference to redefine the Seven Great Sects, placing the secluded Clear Sky Sect’s standing in jeopardy. 60 61

Conflict with the Clear Sky Sect

After Tang Hao destroyed six Martial Soul Main Halls in the Heaven Dou Empire and killed hundreds of Soul Masters, Yan Chixia denounced him as a villain and swore to pursue him. 61 66

Spirit Hall later captured Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong after their involvement in Tang Hao’s escape. The organization intended to execute them publicly, although Shi Jian ultimately intervened. 71 77 78

Spirit Hall joined the Heaven Dou Alliance’s campaign against the Clear Sky Sect. Following the sect’s defeat, it claimed a major share of the spoils, issued wanted notices for surviving Clear Sky Sect members, and burned the sect’s grounds. 163

Internal Division

Yan Chixia’s righteousness repeatedly brought him into direct conflict with Bibi Dong. He openly distinguished Spirit Hall itself from the Pope’s actions, declaring that Spirit Hall was not evil while calling Bibi Dong evil and threatening to remove her if she harmed innocents. 31

Bibi Dong later ordered Yan Chixia to ambush and eliminate the Maoshan Sect, but Yan Chixia refused and promised Hu Liena that he would not let Spirit Hall become involved in such a conflict. 98 99

By the time of the Clear Sky Sect campaign, Yan Chixia had risen to Great Elder. Ghostly and Yue Guan had aligned themselves with him over Bibi Dong, significantly weakening the Pope’s authority. 157 161

Golden Mountain Temple Incident

Spirit Hall branded Fa Hai and Golden Mountain Temple as Evil Soul Masters after Fa Hai killed Red-Robed Bishop Miles, whom the Star Luo Empire accused of embezzling disaster-relief funds. This created a public dispute between Spirit Hall and the Star Luo Empire. 200 214

After Bibi Dong was defeated and publicly displayed at Star Luo City’s gates, Yan Chixia led other Elders to recover her. Fa Hai deliberately yielded their aura contest out of respect for Yan Chixia’s devotion to Spirit Hall. Yan Chixia then pledged that Spirit Hall would clear Golden Mountain Temple’s name and cease treating it as an enemy. 216 217

Political Position
