Background / History

Liu Erlong is Yu Luomian’s illegitimate daughter and a member of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Her Fire Dragon Martial Soul is a mutation of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon. She later formed a Martial Soul Fusion Skill with Yu Xiaogang and Flender. 39 365

She loved Yu Xiaogang deeply and defended his talent against anyone who called him useless. Their planned marriage ended when Yu Luomian disclosed their familial connection; Yu Xiaogang then fled, leaving Liu Erlong devastated. In the aftermath, she rampaged through a soul beast forest until Flender repeatedly comforted her. 39

After group-chat discussions force her to reconsider Yu Xiaogang’s knowledge of her identity and mutation, Liu Erlong suffers an emotional collapse. She comes to suspect that he either deliberately concealed their relationship or was incompetent despite dedicating his life to researching Martial Soul mutations. 39

Before publicly using her real name, Liu Erlong participated in the group chat under a name rendered as “My Surname Is Not Yu” or “I Don’t Have the Surname Yu.” She eventually renamed herself Liu Erlong after the group connected that identity to her relationship with Yu Xiaogang. 2 23 39

Although she is Yu Luomian’s daughter, Liu Erlong’s mother was excluded from the clan genealogy because of her background. After becoming a Title Douluo, Liu Erlong resolves to return to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, challenge its elders, and reopen the genealogy in her mother’s name. 895 897

Lanba Academy is a commoner academy. Although Liu Erlong is better off financially than Flender, she cannot casually produce 80,000 Gold Soul Coins to settle his debt and is unwilling to return to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan to ask for the money. 282 328 329

In the Douluo Dalu 2 world’s historical records, Liu Erlong is regarded as one of Shrek Academy’s founding ancestors alongside Flender and Yu Xiaogang. When Ma Xiaotao initially addresses her as an ancestor, Liu Erlong rejects the association, emphasizing that she founded Lanba Academy and that Flender’s Shrek Academy is a separate institution. Ma Xiaotao explains that the recorded history includes a later merger of the two academies. 147

Her historical likeness survives in Shrek Academy’s statues and portraits. Liu Erlong is blunt, hot-tempered, and physically forceful when angered. She openly insults, slaps, and beats those she believes have wronged or deceived her, particularly Yu Xiaogang and Flender. 397 398 400

She is also decisive once she reaches a conclusion. After recognizing Yu Xiaogang’s influence on her life, she refuses to reconcile with him, demands that Flender cut ties with him, and ultimately treats Yu Xiaogang as an enemy deserving punishment. 329 396 505

Despite her aggression, Liu Erlong is protective of people she considers her own. She intervenes to save Flender in Martial Soul Hall, though she sharply condemns his loyalty to Yu Xiaogang. 531 532

Liu Erlong is impulsive and competitive, but has become increasingly resourceful in pursuing revenge against Yu Xiaogang and in seeking opportunities to grow stronger. She is also willing to turn violent confrontations into public spectacles, recording Tang San’s beating by Hu Liena while ordering Bi Ji to keep him healed. 852 952

Though usually exuberant and confrontational, Liu Erlong has moments of vulnerability. She experiences an existential crisis and questions the purpose of life after a Soul Skill backlash. 838 851

Break with Yu Xiaogang

Liu Erlong’s past relationship with Yu Xiaogang is exposed to the group chat. The possibility that he knew her identity beforehand causes her to collapse emotionally and reevaluate her entire past. 39

She later rejects Yu Xiaogang’s return to Lanba Academy, condemning his abandonment, deception, and attempt to frame their relationship as “spiritual love.” 396 397

Her rejection is not a temporary expression of lingering affection, despite Yu Xiaogang and Flender interpreting it that way. When Yu Xiaogang claims that his castration allows them to pursue spiritual love, she insults him, spits in his face, and kicks him. She also slaps Flender when he demands that she apologize. 397 398

Discovery of Su Yan’s Identity

After Yu Tianheng complains that Su Yan beat him and insulted Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong recognizes the connection between Su Yan and the group chat. Rather than defend her nephew, she agrees with Su Yan’s criticism and dismisses Yu Tianheng. She then threatens to expose Su Yan’s identity to Bibi Dong unless Zhu Zhuqing cooperates with her. 83

Zhu Zhuqing permits Liu Erlong to have Bibi Dong muted once, while warning that the secret does not entitle her to control the Group Chat. Liu Erlong celebrates the opportunity and taunts Bibi Dong for being unable to answer her. 84

Blind Date with Xue Qinghe

After deciding that she wants a younger and more attractive partner than Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong accepts Tang Yuehua’s recommendation to meet Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. 92 114

Tang Yuehua introduces her to Qian Renxue’s Xue Qinghe identity as Lanba Academy’s level 75 Soul Sage dean. Liu Erlong does not know that the Crown Prince is Qian Renxue at the time, later learning the truth from Bibi Dong. 116 361

Her announcement initially causes several group members to assume that she is pursuing Su Yan. During the actual meeting, she shares Xue Qinghe’s photograph for the group to assess, while Su Yan mischievously promises a wedding gift capable of helping her reach Title Douluo if she marries the Crown Prince. Bibi Dong recognizes that Su Yan knows Xue Qinghe’s true identity and is deliberately provoking the group. 114 115 116

Reconciliation with Bibi Dong

Although Liu Erlong and Bibi Dong begin as rivals linked by Yu Xiaogang, their hostility gradually gives way to mutual understanding. The two drink together and bond over their similarly painful pasts. 361 362

Their reconciliation establishes Liu Erlong as one of Bibi Dong and Hu Liena’s close associates, eventually facilitating her involvement in Martial Soul Hall’s affairs. 362 532

The reconciliation does not end their rough banter. Bibi Dong subsequently spanks Liu Erlong in Martial Soul Hall, with Ning Rongrong sharing an image of the incident in the Group Chat. 363

On a later return to the Douluo Dalu 1 world, Su Yan and Bibi Dong find Liu Erlong and Hu Liena at Martial Soul Hall. After the pair enthusiastically greet Su Yan, Bibi Dong orders them to bend over and spanks them in the Papal Palace. The Group Chat watches the livestream as Liu Erlong begs her to stop. 1055

Conflict with Flender and Shrek

When Flender asks for 80,000 Gold Soul Coins, Liu Erlong offers help only if he expels Yu Xiaogang from Shrek Academy and cuts all ties with him. Flender chooses Yu Xiaogang instead. 328 329

Before imposing this condition, Liu Erlong jokingly suggests that Flender offer her to Su Yan to settle the debt. Flender refuses, and Zhu Zhuqing then proposes using the financial assistance to force him to choose between Liu Erlong and Yu Xiaogang. Liu Erlong adopts the suggestion because she wants Flender to stop suffering through his association with her former lover. 328 329

After Flender brings Yu Xiaogang to Lanba Academy, Liu Erlong expels the Shrek group, beats Flender and Tang San, and vows to attack them whenever they appear before her. 395 400

Flender eventually abandons his loyalty to Yu Xiaogang. During their later confrontation, he explicitly condemns Yu Xiaogang for plotting against Liu Erlong, regrets his former blindness, and declares that their brotherhood is over. He also warns against allowing the younger students to continue associating with Yu Xiaogang. 1094

Reckoning in Martial Soul Hall

Liu Erlong arrives at the Papal Palace to save Flender, then exposes Yu Xiaogang’s alleged use of Bibi Dong to access Martial Soul Hall archives and his suspected plagiarism of mutation research. 532 533

She confronts him over whether he knowingly concealed her identity, then personally seeks to punish him after the group concludes that his actions may have been deliberate from the beginning. 533 534

When Flender protests on Yu Xiaogang’s behalf despite having just been healed, Liu Erlong stabs him in the thigh. She then explains why she believes Yu Xiaogang’s lifelong study of mutated Martial Souls makes his claimed ignorance of her identity implausible. The Group Chat further speculates that he deliberately sought her out and arranged Yu Luomian’s appearance at the wedding; these remain deductions rather than a confession from Yu Xiaogang. 533 534

After Flender acknowledges that he understands her earlier demand to sever ties with Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong allows him to leave. She offers Lanba Academy as an alternative if he is unhappy at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, explains that she intends to stay with Su Yan, and assures him that her new life is happy and hopeful. Flender accepts her choice, though she warns him that she will not tolerate him helping Yu Xiaogang or Tang San again. 536 537

Liu Erlong subsequently collaborates with Hu Liena, Chrysanthemum Douluo, and Ghost Douluo in a prolonged scheme to punish Yu Xiaogang within Martial Soul Hall’s Heavenly Prison. 552 553 554

Rescue at Martial Soul Hall

Liu Erlong disguises herself and holds off Martial Soul Hall’s forces so Jie Ge and Yu Xiaogang can escape. 761

Using her Holy Flame Sacred Dragon Avatar, Explosive Flame Dragon Breath, and Perfect Clone, she forces Chrysanthemum Douluo, Ghost Douluo, Qian Daoliu, and other Enshrined to defend Martial Soul Hall from destruction. 761

The rescue is part of a staged plan involving Hu Liena and Chrysanthemum Douluo. In her assumed role as Jie Ge’s hired protector, Liu Erlong promises to hold the pursuers off for half an incense stick’s time and refuses responsibility if the pair fail to escape or are recaptured. Her attacks nevertheless become powerful enough that the defenders must genuinely concentrate on protecting Martial Soul Hall. 758 759

Yu Xiaogang mistakes the disguised Liu Erlong for a possible hidden mother because of her mutated dragon Martial Soul. The misunderstanding enrages her, but Hu Liena urges her to continue the performance. Liu Erlong later defends her excessive attacks as necessary realism, while the Group Chat accuses her of enjoying the opportunity to wreak havoc. 758 759

Pill-Assisted Breakthrough and Second Martial Soul

While still at level 89, Liu Erlong receives a Pill and anticipates that it will let her cross level 90, attach a ninth System Soul Ring, and reach at least level 95. The Angel God explains that the Pill contains pure, substantial power and can continue assisting cultivation after its initial effects. 785

Liu Erlong subsequently reports that the Pill and increases in her System Soul Rings’ ages have brought her to level 96. She then urges the Angel God to bestow a second Martial Soul quickly so that she can challenge others again. The goddess grants her the Heavenly God Martial Soul, and Hu Liena shares an image of its activation with the Group Chat. 788

Martial Soul Hall Recruitment

After reaching level 96, Liu Erlong receives an offer from Qian Daoliu to join Martial Soul Hall as an Enshrined Elder. She agrees in principle but intends to improve her level further and bring part of her clan with her. 856 857

During the recruitment discussion, Golden Crocodile Douluo offers her his position as Second Worship, while Qian Daoliu suggests that she could eventually become Great Enshrined. He envisions Liu Erlong and Hu Liena leading Martial Soul Hall together as Great Enshrined and Pope. 854

She later joins Hu Liena in revealing an Angel Martial Soul to the Worship Hall, helping persuade its members to resume responsibility for Martial Soul Hall’s affairs. 858

Clan Genealogy Reckoning

After becoming powerful enough to confront her paternal family, Liu Erlong resolves to return to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. She intends to challenge its elders and reopen the family genealogy for her mother, who had been denied formal recognition. 897
