Background / History

Obito shared a past with Hatake Kakashi and Nohara Rin, and had entrusted one of his Sharingan to Kakashi. Rin's death became the center of his worldview: he describes himself as a “walking corpse” and seeks to create a world without war, loss, or suffering. 56

He appears before Akatsuki masked and posing as Uchiha Madara, an identity Pain introduces as that of Konoha's legendary co-founder. An immediately challenges the claim, and later publicly exposes him as Obito. 33 34 35
