- Endless mountains, rivers, seas, spiritual beings, demons, beasts, and hidden cultivators fill its expanse. 140
- The world is governed by the Heavenly Dao, with Hongjun aligned to it; Great Dao cultivation is stated to require stepping beyond the Primordial World and into Chaos. 104 134 169
- Native cultivation paths operate under the Heavenly Dao, while the Three Immortal Islands and Boundless Divine Mountain are described as places outside or beyond the world’s normal jurisdiction. 134

History
Early calamities
The Dragon-Phoenix Initial Tribulation devastated the dragon, phoenix, and qilin lineages. The Phoenix and Qilin clans were nearly exterminated, while only a fraction of the Dragon clan survived and retreated into the Four Seas. 10
The later Dao-Demon Conflict ended with the defeat and death of Demon Ancestor Luohu. His demise created the Demonic Dao, completing one of the Three Thousand Great Daos. 17
First mending of the heavens
During an early skyfall, Nuwa used Five-Colored Stone to patch the heavens. The intended solution also called for the North Sea Black Tortoise’s four legs to become pillars supporting the world’s four poles, but Beichen escaped this fate and instead provided refined Mysterious Sky Divine Dragon Pillars. 1 2
Witch-Demon Tribulation
The Twelve Ancestral Witches expanded across the Primordial World, slaughtering lesser demons and driving the Demon Race toward unification and open war. 46
The final conflict used world-shaking formations: the Demon Race deployed the Star Dou Grand Formation, while the Witch Clan manifested Pangu’s True Body through the Twelve Heavens God-Demon Array. 131 140
Pangu’s True Body ultimately detonated, destroying both formations and annihilating most of the Demon Race. Fu Xi’s soul entered reincarnation, several Ancestral Witches survived, and Houtu transformed into Samsara to establish the Six Paths of Reincarnation. 144
Humanity, celestial order, and the Three Realms
Nuwa created the Human Race, whose members spread across nearly half the world despite threats from demons, beasts, witches, and spirits. 139 177
Beichen later used the Law of Time to separate the Sun Star and Moon Star into a recurring day-night cycle, benefiting human life. Nuwa named the Moon Star Wangshu. 189 190
Following the Witch-Demon conflict, Hongjun declared that Heaven, Earth, and Man would jointly govern the Primordial World. He established the Heavenly Court under Haotian and Queen Mother of the West, while the Human Race was destined to develop through the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors. 175
Celestial Features
Sun and Moon
- The Sun Star and Moon Star originally coexisted in the sky for millions of years. 189
- Beichen placed both celestial bodies under the Law of Time, dividing each day into twelve shichen: six for daylight and six for night. 190
- Great Emperor Ziwei was entrusted with refining the transition so that day and night would change smoothly rather than abruptly. 190
Stars
- The Star Tree of the Heavens contains manifestations of 365 main stars and 108,000 lesser stars, each corresponding to a star in the Primordial World. 131
- It condenses the foundational Dao power of the world’s stars and serves as the intended core of the Star Dou Grand Formation. 131
