Background / History

The Heaven and Earth Great Dao appeared above the North Sea and acknowledged the injustice suffered by Beichen as a Mystic Turtle. It entered his body and bound the Heaven and Earth Great Dao System to him, granting him a means to alter his fate. 1

On the Three Immortal Islands, Beichen refined four Mysterious Sky Divine Dragon Pillars over sixty years. The system rewarded this service with a Form Transformation Dao Fruit, allowing him to take human form. 2

He left the islands for the Sun Star after encountering Dijun and Taiyi. There, he helped the Golden Crow brothers comprehend their innate treasures—the River Map and Luo Book, and the Eastern Emperor Bell—and lectured to them for more than a thousand years. Both brothers reached Grand Unity Golden Immortal as a result. 5

Beichen later accepted Dijun and Taiyi as disciples, then guided their courtship of Xihe and Changxi. His intervention was intended to change Dijun's predicted marriage outcome and bring the two Golden Crows together with the Moon Star Goddesses. 9 10 13

After returning to the Three Immortal Islands, Beichen brought the remnant dragon Mo Yuan, phoenix Ling Cair, and qilin Yan Lie under his authority. He chose Ling Cair as his mount and assigned all three to develop and patrol the islands. 18 19 20

He eventually founded the Immortal Island Palace on Yingzhou Island, accepted the title of Beichen Dao Ancestor, and expanded his organization through appointments and recruitment. 47 49 51

Beichen accepted Great Immortal Yang Mei as his master and later attained the Saint position of the Great Dao of Water. He continued gathering disciples, intervening in major Primordial conflicts, and protecting those under his authority. 55 57 59 127 135 138

Appearance

Beichen's transformed body is that of a handsome, towering young man with a composed yet imposing presence. His original form is a Mystic Turtle, which Princess Iron Fan can perceive through her Insightful Eye. 2 137 138

  • Slanted brows sweeping toward his temples. 2
  • Sharp, sword-and-star-like eyes. 2
  • Described as dashing and possessing a debonair bearing. 2
  • Often presents himself with calm confidence, even when provoking powerful opponents. 35 50

Personality

Beichen is strategic, calculating, and highly willing to alter established fate when it benefits those under his protection. He values karmic ties and considers the disciples he gained on the Sun and Moon Stars more valuable than the cultivation time he lost away from the Three Immortal Islands. 13 16

He combines benevolence with coercion. In dealing with Mo Yuan, Ling Cair, and Yan Lie, he used overwhelming force to establish control before offering them a future under his command. 19

Beichen is also openly provocative toward authority. He confronted Hongjun in Purple Cloud Palace, defied Heavenly Dao proofs, and repeatedly relied on sharp speech and confidence to unsettle stronger or politically entrenched figures. 35 59

As a master, he is fiercely protective and pragmatic. He states that he will offend others, steal, or take treasures if necessary for his disciples' benefit. 116
