Duanmu Huai won the God of Fighting Tournament, then took command of the Inquisition’s campaign on Pandora and destroyed Eywa’s network. He began the Godslayer quest by killing Ares, and Zeus cast him into the Underworld.

• Duanmu Huai defeated Robert, Ryo Sakazaki, and Takuma Sakazaki in succession, earning Takuma’s recommendation for the Duel Tournament.
• Duanmu Huai entered the lethal God of Fighting Tournament with Honoka, killed his opponents, and defeated the God of Fighting after confronting Mary Rose’s captors.
• Duanmu Huai received Venus Island as a reward, while Honoka, Mary Rose, and Yue Hua Sha chose to stay with him or help manage it.
• Duanmu Huai told the girls that the Inquisition would protect humanity, then took command of Hell’s Gate Base on Pandora and shut down the Avatar Project.

Duanmu Huai destroyed the Greek gods, then investigated Skynet’s machine war and seized the AllSpark. After returning to Venus Island, he set out for Castam to recruit a mechanical engineer but found the route blocked by Hermann’s forces.

• Duanmu Huai killed Hades, Poseidon, Athena, Hera, and Zeus, destroyed Mount Olympus, and completed the Godslayer quest.
• Duanmu Huai met Yue Hua Sha on Venus Island, where she claimed to be his wife, then investigated reports of a Machine Crisis.
• Duanmu Huai recruited Eclair and Rumiere on probation, and Rumiere learned that Skynet had caused a nuclear war and was developing time travel.
• Duanmu Huai and his companions rescued Resistance soldiers and fought Skynet’s machines while Rumiere infiltrated Skynet’s network and prepared a virus.
• Duanmu Huai helped the Resistance fight a Cybertronian robot invasion, discovered that the machines were searching for the AllSpark, and tracked Optimus Prime and Megatron to a hidden facility.
• Duanmu Huai took the AllSpark from Megatron, destroyed the facility, and later used Rumiere’s virus to disable Skynet after it sent three T800 Type Robots into the past.
• Duanmu Huai arranged for Rumiere to help Kukulu study the AllSpark’s technology, then went to Venus Island seeking a mechanical engineering expert.
• Duanmu Huai traveled toward Castam with Yue Hua Sha and Okegis, learned Hermann had blocked the route, and accepted the mayor’s offer of passage in exchange for completing a task.

Duanmu Huai defeated the Majin aiding Herman, uncovered the repeating Demon King game, and began a Monster Tamer inheritance trial to seek a way to tame the Demon King. The trial left him facing a race against Horse Girls after he failed to contract the Snow Woman.

• Duanmu Huai rescued an injured ninja from Satra, then learned Herman had captured Lisass’s capital with help from the Majin and went to investigate.
• Duanmu Huai killed Sapphire and freed brainwashed Lisass soldiers, while Mitchiru took responsibility for Rajel and Maria agreed to build a Leman Russ Tank.
• Duanmu Huai entered Lisass Royal City with Kento Kaname, found Princess Lia torturing captive girls with Lady Marys, and killed Azeru before painfully purifying Lia.
• Duanmu Huai learned that Jill had been revived as the former Demon King and discovered from her memories that the world was a game created for the Supreme Gods, though Jill died before revealing more.
• Maria used the Tulip No. 3 to defeat Barton’s assault on Rajel, then joined Duanmu Huai’s Inquisition and began working with Kukulu.
• Duanmu Huai advanced to Grand Inquisitor, consulted the King of Sais and Magica about the Demon King’s history, and accepted a quest to qualify as a Monster Tamer.
• Duanmu Huai entered Baberich’s inheritance trial, contracted with Rabbit Rabbit, and traveled to the Snow Mountain seeking more familiars.
• Duanmu Huai failed to bind the Snow Woman and continued to the plains, where the Horse Girl leader required him to win a race before signing a contract.

Duanmu Huai intervened in Zeth’s oppression of Level 2 Citizens, helped King Gandhi launch reforms, and later rescued refugees as rebellion and demonic attacks overwhelmed the kingdom. The arc left Duanmu Huai and Shizuka facing Naji at the top of the Leap Tower, with Lakaru imprisoned nearby.

• Duanmu Huai won the Horse Girls’ race with Omnis and accepted a petite Horse Girl as his familiar, then explored a sealed Mechanicus stronghold and recruited the Ghost Girl.
• Duanmu Huai rescued Kento Kaname and joined the Resistance Organization’s struggle against the oppression of Level 2 Citizens, killing the Sword Knight and urging Uluze to decide what she wanted politically.
• Duanmu Huai explained Zeth’s class conflict to King Gandhi, who launched education and employment reforms, created the Fortress City, and appointed Uluze to represent Level 2 Citizens.
• Duanmu Huai uncovered and destroyed Papaya Saba’s child-abuse and human-experiment operation, while Pentagram destroyed most of Zeth’s Magic Amplification Devices and triggered rebellion across the kingdom.
• Duanmu Huai rescued Magica and the Paris Academy students from the Demonic Army, summoned Sky City and dragons, and helped evacuate refugees toward the Fortress City as Lisass prepared to intervene.
• Duanmu Huai rejected Queen Lia’s proposed marriage, welcomed Ann and Gureiya to Sky City, and helped oversee the evacuation of four million refugees to the Fortress City.
• Duanmu Huai flew to the Leap Tower after learning Shizuka had gone there to avenge her parents, and Shizuka explained that Lakaru had killed her father and taken her mother.
• Duanmu Huai accompanied Shizuka and Okegis to the tower’s top, where Naji revealed she had imprisoned Lakaru and challenged Shizuka after raising a barrier between her and Duanmu Huai.
