Duanmu Huai defeated the Shadow King’s successor, expanded the Inquisition’s reach, and intervened in Chaldea’s effort to restore human history. In Fuyuki, he confronted the magi who had abused Sakura and left Tokiomi’s residence after defeating the Hero King.

• Duanmu Huai killed the black-armored hero who had become the God of Devouring, took the Gith Silver Sword, and decided to turn the Divine Office into an artifact.
• Duanmu Huai secured the Wall of the Faithless from Kelemvor, while the Inquisition expanded Arkham City and approved a Red Wizard Society base under its rules.
• Duanmu Huai traveled to Beautiful Star, killed President Alice, and gave an old military officer seven days to undo the planet’s policies before the Inquisition destroyed its military bases.

Duanmu Huai and his allies stopped the Great Holy Grail’s eruption, then he entered a future Singularity as D and investigated Arasaka’s experiments. After killing Arasaka Saburo, Arasaka Yorinobu, and Adam Smasher, D seized control of Night City and demanded the factions submit.

• Duanmu Huai killed Soichiro while Medea and Alice Phil defeated Caster, and RIDER pledged herself to Aika as Sakura prepared a plan to force her sister out of the Holy Grail War.
