Background / History

The Jie Cult is a major Primordial World sect founded by Sect Master Tongtian. Its disciples initially gather at the Azure Palace and Golden Ao Island, where they regard Ye Changqing as their exceptional senior disciple brother. The sect is locked in a bitter rivalry with the Chan Sect, whose Twelve Golden Immortals resent Ye Changqing's attempt to achieve sainthood. 1

During Ye Changqing's Dao attainment, the Jie Cult immortals openly support him against Old Ancestor Minghe, the Two Sages of the West, and Heavenly Dao's suppression. Their unity becomes a defining trait of the sect. 3 7
