Background / History

Sasuke was born as the twin brother of Josuke and the younger brother of Itachi, the sons of Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha. As a child, he was playful and easily distracted during training, but he also declared an ambition to become Hokage. He and Josuke were closely protected inside the Uchiha compound until Itachi began taking them outside and teaching them basic ninja skills. 1 2 3

At the Ninja Academy, Sasuke quickly learned the Clone Technique and developed a competitive rivalry with Naruto. He was distant toward Sakura, who pursued him, while he and Josuke remained close despite their frequent competition. 5 6

The Uchiha clan massacre destroyed Sasuke’s family. After Itachi forced him to witness the annihilation through Tsukuyomi, Sasuke awakened his Sharingan and became fixated on killing Itachi to avenge their parents. 7 8
