Jing Pu transmigrated into an empty void and remained there for three years after being told that cultivation was the only way out. He methodically completed seventy-two disciplines to their highest realm, then exited through a deep-blue door that appeared upon completing Dao Heart. 1

He arrived in Qinghe Town expecting a martial-arts world, only to learn that the world followed a cultivation system. Seeing cultivators fly on Flying Swords left him distressed because he believed his nonstandard training was useless there. 1 2

Hoping to secure a place in the cultivation world, Jing Pu sought admission to the Divine Sword Sect. Ling Tiannan and Ling An'an interpreted Jing Pu's painting and bearing as evidence that he was a hidden great immortal.
