Background / History

Ye Lingling is the granddaughter of Ye Tianxin and the inheritor of the Nine Heart Begonia Martial Soul. Only two Nine Heart Begonia Soul Masters can exist in a given era, making her a target for factions seeking to monopolize the Martial Soul's healing inheritance. 4 6

She and Dugu Yan were childhood playmates; their elders were old acquaintances. After Ye Tianxin disappeared following a wolf-bandit attack, Dugu Yan learned that Ye Lingling was being closely monitored at the Plant Primary Soul Master Academy in Silvis City and arranged for Qin Yuan to escort her to Heaven Dou City. 4 5

The Liu family and the Silvis Royal Family sought to control her, with the Liu family particularly interested in exploiting her healing ability to gain favors from powerful people. 5 6 Qin Yuan used a decoy scheme to extract her from Silvis City.
