Background

Shinsuke was born into the Zenin Family alongside his younger brother, Toji. Both brothers lacked Cursed Energy, but Shinsuke possessed a Heavenly Restriction that gave him an exceptional body. Eight years before his return, he massacred dozens of Zenin clan members and went abroad, leaving the clan fearful of his eventual return. 9

Upon returning to Japan, Shinsuke reconnected with Toji, intervened in the Star Plasma Vessel incident, and prevented Riko Amanai from being killed. He subsequently pressured Toji to take responsibility for Megumi and Tsumiki Fushiguro rather than continue living solely as a Sorcerer Killer. 6 9 10

Naobito Zenin arranged a nominal teaching position for him at Tokyo Jujutsu High. Shinsuke initially sought the post for its salary and minimal workload, but he gradually became an instructor, mentor, and protector to several students. 12 38 47
