Tsuchikage Han
A day later, news of the war between Konoha 'Royal Court Ninja Army and the Great Tomb of Nazarick, and the war between Iwagakure and the Siren Theocracy, had spread throughout the northwest corner of the Mana Continent and even the entire Ninja World.
Everyone was shocked by the resurrection of the Royal Court Ninja Army, and everyone was also lamenting the undeserved calamity suffered by Iwagakure and Siren Theocracy.
Those warriors who once fought valiantly on the battlefield can now only search for remnants of hope amidst the ruins. The villagers of Iwagakure are filled with endless sorrow, while the followers of the Siren Theocracy seek solace in prayer.
Han, the Tsuchikage of Iwagakure, had just begun to recover from the devastation of his own Ninja Army's annihilation. His heart was like a torn canvas, beyond repair.
Upon hearing the news that the [Royal Court Ninja Army] had suffered no casualties, his heart once again plunged into Abyss of pain, as if an invisible hand had squeezed Han's heart hard.
Especially when he heard that the Siren Theocracy had declared unconditional submission and would visit [Ye Lantier] the next day to pay homage to Uchiha Takeyasu and perform the rites of a defeated man, Han was completely disoriented.
His eyes grew anxious and uneasy. If the Siren Theocracy were to submit to Konoha, what would Iwagakure, which had fought so hard before, amount to?
A complete clown?
Han ran to the Military Affairs Department of the Presidential Building, his heart filled with countless questions and resentment.
He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down, but the oppressive feeling just wouldn't dissipate.
Han straightened his clothes, trying to make himself look less disheveled, and then knocked on the door.
The door opened, Uchiha Shikata sat in the office inside, his face showing a somewhat aloof expression.
The sudden influx of a large sum of compensation caused Uchiha Shikata immense financial pain.
Sitting opposite him was Mito Uzumaki, who had come from the Mana Continent. She was overwhelmed with many affairs, which made the noblewoman look somewhat depressed.
Han sensed something was off about the office atmosphere and his heart tightened, but he knew he couldn't back down.
"Tsuchikage, what brings you here?"
Uchiha Shikata glanced at Mito Uzumaki, who was still reviewing documents, then turned to Han, who had walked in and was sitting to the side, and slowly said.
"The compensation for those who died in battle and the support for Iwagakure were discussed with you yesterday. Do you have any further questions?"
"Question?"
Han pondered those two words for a moment, then composed himself and asked bluntly, "Mito-sama, Shikata, what should become of our Iwagakure?"
The direct question displeased Uchiha Shikata. He spoke slowly.
"Where to go from here? Why do you say that, Tsuchikage?"
Uchiha Shikata's face showed surprise. "According to the compensation regulations, Konoha will exchange the losses of Iwagakure for corresponding supplies, and will not let the blood of Iwagakure be shed in vain."
Uchiha Shikata was speaking, he suddenly realized something and said with a serious expression, "Could it be that Tsuchikage feels that the amount given is too little?"
"Or perhaps His Tsuchikage is questioning the rules and regulations of the Military Affairs Department, or even questioning Konoha?"
"Of course not!"
During his time in charge of Iwagakure, Han was definitely not a naive or clueless person; he directly and reasonably engaged in debates with the Uchiha Shikata.
As one of the three prominent figures established by Uchiha Takeyasu, he has the confidence to argue.
As long as he doesn't violate Konoha's rules and regulations, it will be difficult for Uchiha Shikata to do anything to him.
In terms of its system, Iwagakure possesses a certain degree of autonomy and is fully capable of rejecting some unreasonable orders from the Military Affairs Department.
"It just means we'll have to offend Uchiha Shikata and Mito Uzumaki."
"It's all for Iwagakure!"
A resolute look flashed across Han's face as he stared intently at the Uchiha Shikata, his voice firm and powerful.
"Lord Shikata, the losses suffered by Iwagakure cannot be compensated by material aid alone. The submission of the Siren Theocracy means the acquisition of more resources and people, while what about Iwagakure? In this war, we have made enormous sacrifices, yet we can only receive a sum of compensation and supplies, which is extremely limited for the future development of Iwagakure."
Uchiha Shikata frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes. "Does the Tsuchikage mean that Iwagakure needs more support? Or does he think that Konoha's support for Iwagakure is insufficient?"
Han, undeterred, continued, "Lord Shifang, the submission of the Shikata Siren Theocracy will render Iwagakure's early bloody battles a joke! Shouldn't Iwagakure's sacrifices and contributions in this war receive greater recognition and support? We need more than just material compensation; we need people and land!"
A cold glint flashed in Uchiha Shikata's eyes as he slowly said, "Tsuchikage, Konoha has already done its utmost to support Iwagakure. Iwagakure is making sacrifices, and so is Amegakure. Konoha's resources are limited; it's impossible to satisfy everyone's demands."
Han's eyes hardened, and his voice boomed like thunder, "Shikata, don't the sacrifices and contributions made by Iwagakure in this war deserve more support? We are not demanding, but fighting for the rightful future of Iwagakure."
Uchiha Shikata's expression darkened, and he said coldly, "Tsuchikage, Konoha's policies are fair and just. If Iwagakure feels that Konoha's support is insufficient, they can make specific requests, but they must be within reasonable limits."
A look of relief appeared on Han's face. He bowed deeply and said firmly, "Thank you for your understanding and support, Shikata. Iwagakure will continue to contribute to the prosperity and development of Konoha and the Ninja World."
Han calmed down a bit. He knew this argument was just the beginning, but he wouldn't back down. For the future of Iwagakure, he was willing to do everything in his power.
Just then, Mito Uzumaki finally put down the documents in her hand, raised her head, and looked thoughtful.
"Tsuchikage, Shikata, I believe we should convene a meeting to discuss in detail the division of interests between Iwagakure and the Siren Theocracy. Only through negotiation can we find a fair and reasonable solution."
Uchiha Shikata nodded in agreement. "Mito-sama is right. We need to resolve this issue through negotiation. Tsuchikage, please rest assured, Konoha will meet Iwagakure's needs within the bounds of the rules."
"However, there's no rush to hold this meeting. Soon, the results will be seen on the two battlefields: Amegakure versus the Bahamas Empire, Kirigakure versus the Council Nation."
Mito Uzumaki said calmly, "The rewards and punishments for meritorious service will be discussed at the meeting, and the final decision will be made by His Leader!"
