Background

Bai Ze initially served CANC as its head of Southeast Asia. During the hunt for the Nine-tailed Fox in Kuala Lumpur, he directed a large-scale operation using CANC's satellite constellation, containment task forces, and local police authority. The operation became his first encounter with an intelligent Contained Object of Lan Mu's level 53 55.

Unlike CANC's Principle Faction, Bai Ze believed the organization should actively use Contained Objects and supernatural power rather than merely contain or destroy them. He considered CANC's strict human-supremacist principles inefficient, though he remained a minority within the organization 58.

Lan Mu defeated Bai Ze's team and interrogated him after the Kuala Lumpur operation. Bai Ze survived only because Lan Mu healed his injuries, then accepted a True Name contract rather than die. The contract bound his soul to Lan Mu regardless of Lan Mu's form 57 60.

After defecting, Bai Ze relocated to Modu, managed funds and business matters for Lan Mu, and became the practical organizer behind the Blue White Society's early development. Bai Ze is pragmatic, calculating, and strongly survival-oriented. When trapped by Lan Mu, he chose an unequal soul contract over death; afterward, he adapted quickly to his new position and turned his resources toward building the Blue White Society 58 60.

He is an experienced planner who can rapidly assess military deployments, trace likely enemy movements, and make decisions under pressure.
