"Who's this behind you?" Lynn asked, though he already knew.
Hagrid turned around and pulled Harry in front of him, introducing him.
"Harry Potter, a first-year student this year. His situation is a little special, and Dumbledore specifically asked me to bring him to Diagon Alley to buy his school supplies. Harry, this is Lynn Belloc, a second-year Slytherin student and the best student in his year."
Lynn could see that the boy was somewhat reserved, so he took the initiative to greet him. "Hello. Can I call you Harry? You can call me Lynn too."
"Of course."
Harry hurriedly reached out and shook Lynn's hand. This was the first wizard he had met who did not shout and fuss over him, but acted normally. He was also an upperclassman from Hogwarts—and, according to Hagrid, the best student in his year.
Before he understood what sort of House Slytherin was, or met Draco and Snape, he had a very good first impression of Lynn.
Lynn patted Hermione, who stood beside him, on the shoulder.
"I'm here to help a first-year buy supplies too. This is my neighbor and friend, Hermione Granger. She received her Hogwarts acceptance letter this year as well. You two might even end up sorted into the same House."
He winked at Hermione and suddenly grinned. The little girl could not tell what bad idea he was thinking up again, so she shot him a glare before greeting Harry.
"Hello, you can call me Hermione."
"Hello, Hermione."
Hagrid nudged Harry forward and urged him along.
"Alright, we need to go. We still have a lot to buy. Whatever you want to talk about, save it for Hogwarts. By then, you'll be seeing each other every day."
After they waved goodbye to Harry and Hagrid, Hermione fixed Lynn
