Background / History

Ancestral Dragon was originally the Dragon Clan's domineering patriarch, but became a transmigrator who possessed foreknowledge of the Primordial World's future from novels. Knowing that the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans were fated for disaster if they continued their struggle, he initially sought to change the Dragon Clan's fate through preparation and population growth 11.

He ordered the Dragon Clan to reproduce extensively despite the limited capacity of the Four Seas. When the clan reached successive population milestones, his Development System supplied increasingly powerful rewards, eventually granting him numerous spiritual treasures, four Innate Supreme Treasures, and the Chaos Supreme Treasure River of Destiny 11 12.

With these resources, Ancestral Dragon planned to unite the Primordial World, seize its destiny, and become a Saint before Hongjun. He distrusted Hongjun completely, interpreting attempts to curb the Dragon Clan's aggression as schemes meant to weaken or destroy his race 12.

Appearance

In humanoid form, Ancestral Dragon appears as a Daoist seated upon the Dragon Palace throne, surrounded by suppressive dragon energy and an overwhelmingly domineering aura 11.

Personality

Ancestral Dragon is proud, ambitious, and intensely confident in the Dragon Clan's natural superiority. He enjoys the reverence of his subjects and considers the Primordial World a stage to be conquered by a transmigrator rather than a world to which he belongs 34 45.

His foreknowledge initially makes him cautious: he orders the Dragon Clan to remain within the Four Seas in hopes of surviving the Dragon-Han Tribulation. However, this caution deteriorates into suspicion and obsession. He repeatedly attributes the actions of the Phoenix and Qilin Clans, Hongjun, and the Heavenly Dao to conspiracies against him 30 36.

After Hongjun humiliates him, his rage overwhelms his judgment. Luohu's transformation into the Supreme Heavenly Demon intensifies Ancestral Dragon's existing obsession, while his system's depleted energy cannot suppress his inner demons 47.

Dragon Clan Development

After transmigrating, Ancestral Dragon uses his knowledge of the future to avert the Dragon Clan's predicted downfall. He prioritizes explosive population growth, receives vast system rewards, and begins planning to unify the Primordial World and attain sainthood 11 12.

Search for Allies

Luohu's premature death disrupts his plans. Unable to locate dependable allies among the surviving old ancestors, he considers recruiting Wangshu and Shi Chen to support the Dragon Clan during the inevitable War of the Three Tribes 30.

Withdrawal into the Four Seas

Ancestral Dragon orders every dragon to remain within the Four Seas without his permission, intending to outlast the Dragon-Han Tribulation rather than fight immediately. The order shocks the Dragon Clan and provokes suspicion from the Phoenix and Qilin Clans, who believe he is positioning himself to reap the benefits of their mutual destruction 35 37.

He swears to the Heavenly Dao that the Dragon Clan will not contend with the Phoenix or Qilin Clan unless attacked first. This temporarily prevents a three-way war, though neither rival clan trusts his motives 37.

Defiance of Hongjun

When Hongjun becomes a Saint and offers the Three Races choices for their future, Ancestral Dragon refuses to submit. He confronts Hongjun publicly, accusing him of orchestrating the Three Races' conflicts and seeking their destruction 41 43.

Hongjun reveals that the unchecked expansion of the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans is exhausting the Primordial World's resources and threatening the collapse of the Sun and Moon Stars. Unlike Yuanfeng and First Qilin, Ancestral Dragon rejects this warning and responds with threats 43 44.

Heaven-Felling Rebellion and Death

Hongjun humiliates Ancestral Dragon with successive slaps, demonstrating the absolute difference between a Saint and a Quasi-Saint. Enraged, Ancestral Dragon orders the Dragon Clan to form the Million Golden Dragons Heaven-Felling Array and declares war on Heaven itself 44 45.

Believing the Heavenly Dao exists only to enslave living beings, he leads the empowered Dragon Clan against Hongjun. Hongjun defeats him with a single palm strike; Ancestral Dragon's body turns to ash, and the backlash annihilates Dragon Clan elites at the Golden Immortal level and above 47 48.

Following his death, Hongjun confiscates his treasures and Development System. The surviving Dragon Clan is confined to the Four Seas and barred from reaching Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal without sufficient merit 48.
