Background / History

Serperior was already living with Luo Mu at his newly established farm in Pingdie Town. During Luo Mu’s unsuccessful fishing attempt, it precisely released pressure against nearby Magikarp without frightening the fish Luo Mu wanted to catch, allowing him to continue fishing. 8

When Nemo was accidentally hooked from the stream while unconscious, Serperior immediately stopped Luo Mu from recasting, pulled the girl from the water with a vine, and performed a carefully controlled Heimlich maneuver at Luo Mu’s direction. 9 It later joined Luxray’s rescue operation against the child kidnappers, using selective Intimidate to paralyze only the kidnappers before extracting the captive children with Verdant Vine. 11

Initially jealous of the Pokémon Egg Luo Mu brought home, Serperior’s resentment gave way to pity after learning of the unborn Pokémon’s condition. It stayed behind with Swampert to guard the egg and assist with the farm. 19 20 Its attempt to accelerate potato growth by transferring Grass energy instead destroyed the seeds; its strength was excessive for fragile crops. 20 22

Serperior accompanied Luo Mu and Pepper into the wilderness to seek suitable Grass-type farm Pokémon. It effortlessly subdued attacking Quaxly, sensed the auras of the missing Whimsicott and Hoppip, and protected the group from a Stunky while helping rescue the poisoned Hoppip. 22 23 24

After Whimsicott and the Hoppip joined the farm, Serperior helped oversee the fields and played with the younger Pokémon. It also coordinated with Luxray to force Moltres into the unfinished lake area, using Frenzy Plant to throw the legendary Pokémon into the site and create the needed pit. 29 36

Serperior was assigned to protect the farming area while Luo Mu began work at Orange Academy. Its possessiveness resurfaced when the newly hatched Hisuian Growlithe called Luo Mu “Dad,” prompting it to angrily blame Moltres for the situation. 38 39

Appearance

Serperior has emerald-green vines extending from near its leafy collar, crimson snake eyes, and a naturally noble, intimidating presence. Despite Luo Mu’s expectations of a cold reptilian body, its body is warm to the touch. 8 9
