Revolutionary Army's Development Direction

The way Dragon took Mosen was simple and brutal. Mosen only felt a stream of air surround his body, and then he flew into the sky with Dragon.

This was Mosen's first time escaping the bonds of gravity and soaring through the sky. Looking at the clouds floating beside him, he felt both curious and excited.

"I didn't expect the World Government to actually launch a Buster Call on Ohara. So many books in the Tree of Knowledge will probably be destroyed this time," Dragon sighed.

Upon hearing this, Mosen reined in his excitement and said, "Mr. Dragon, it's not surprising that the World Government would make such a decision.

No ruler would allow the people under their rule to touch things that could threaten their reign."

"Just researching history could threaten the World Government. I'm getting more and more curious about what happened during the Void Century," Dragon said with a serious tone.

"Mr. Dragon, I don't think the World Government is solely worried about the history of the Void Century being deciphered. They're more afraid of something hidden within that history."

Dragon lowered his head and pondered for a moment before understanding what Mosen was referring to. "Mosen, you're talking about the Ancient Weapons, aren't you?"

"That's right. Didn't Kuzan tell you before? The reason the World Government gave for launching the Buster Call was that the archaeologists of Ohara were trying to awaken the Ancient Weapons by deciphering the history of the Void Century, which would destroy the world.

I don't think this reason is entirely fabricated. The World Government is genuinely worried that the scholars of Ohara have touched upon history related to the Ancient Weapons.

This also indirectly shows the World Government's fear of the Ancient Weapons. So, Mr. Dragon, I think our organization's primary goal for the future should be the Ancient Weapons.

Having Ancient Weapons in hand is a deterrent. Whether we use them in war or not, the World Government will have to be wary of them."

"Make the World Government hesitate? That's a good idea, but the clues to the Ancient Weapons are too scarce. Even if we want to find them, we have no leads," Dragon said with a frown.

"So, we still need to start with the Poneglyphs. Didn't you just send people to protect that archaeological team, Mr. Dragon? As long as the scholars inside survive, we'll have a chance to decipher the Poneglyphs, and then we'll get clues about the Ancient Weapons."

"You can rest assured about that, Mosen. Even if our comrades encounter a Marine Admiral leading the charge, rescuing people will definitely be no problem," Dragon said confidently.

Mosen could vaguely guess who Dragon was referring to. The only one who could rescue people from under the nose of a Marine Admiral seemed to be Kuma with his Nikyu Nikyu no Mi.

As long as Kuma directly pawed them away, the Marine Admiral wouldn't be able to track them.

"Since the scholars are safe, Mr. Dragon, we should consider the next issue.

If our organization wants to resist the World Government in the future, money and weapons will be essential.

I don't have any ideas about money, but I have some thoughts about weapons."

"What thoughts? Tell me!"

"Mr. Dragon, do you know Flevance?"

"Of course, I do. It's the production site for Lead Ore. Unfortunately, the people of that country contracted a contagious disease, and the entire population died out, leading to the suspension of Lead Ore mining."

Mosen shook his head and said, "Mr. Dragon, the destruction of Flevance wasn't caused by a contagious disease."

"Not a contagious disease? Is there some hidden reason?"

Mosen nodded and began to tell Dragon about Flevance. "Mr. Dragon, the ground and trees of Flevance were covered by a layer of white substance. At first glance, it looked like a pristine world of ice and snow, like a fairyland. It was known as the 'White Town' at sea.

In reality, the reason for the dreamlike scenery of the 'White Town' was the presence of a mineral called lead ore buried underground.

This mineral had a wide range of uses, not only for producing tableware, paints, sweet seasonings, and cosmetics, but also for manufacturing weapons.

Because lead ore had so many uses and was in demand across various industries, lead ore products had high demand worldwide.

With increased demand, Flevance naturally increased its mining of lead ore.

Gradually, lead ore became Flevance's most important industry and the primary source of income for its people.

The booming sales of lead ore made the people of Flevance quite wealthy. They didn't have to worry about raising Celestial Gold, and with plenty of food and clothing, everyone had smiles on their faces. It was a true paradise on the sea.

But all of this was a facade created by the World Government for its own benefit. The World Government had actually been secretly involved in the transportation of lead ore.

It could even be said that it was precisely because of the World Government's secret assistance that the lead ore industry developed unprecedentedly.

"Wait! Mosen, if lead ore has such huge profits, why would the World Government allow Flevance to have a hand in it? And how do you know all this?" Dragon interrupted Mosen, asking with a serious tone.

Mosen had already anticipated Dragon's question and had found someone to blame. "Mr. Dragon, you should know that I participated in Vegapunk's Lineage Factor experiments, right?"

Dragon nodded.

"I saw this information when I was undergoing the modification. Those of us who survived the Lineage Factor modification stayed in Vegapunk's laboratory for a period.

During this time, Vegapunk basically left us alone, except for recording our physical changes every day.

When I had nothing to do, I wandered around Vegapunk's laboratory and found some documents. They were simply placed in a storage box.

I picked one up and flipped through it, only to discover that it contained Vegapunk's experimental data and some more secretive matters."

Mosen's words were half true and half false. After the Lineage Factor modification, Vegapunk did have the eight survivors stay in his laboratory for observation for a period. His experimental data wasn't hidden either and was placed quite casually. Mosen did see some experimental data, but it didn't include any records of lead ore.

"So, Vegapunk was researching lead ore?" Dragon continued to ask.

"That's right. According to Vegapunk's experimental data, lead ore isn't actually suitable for manufacturing weapons.

Its true purpose is to power weapons. As the power source for weapons, weapons charged with lead ore are much more powerful than gunpowder."

After listening to Mosen, Dragon frowned. If lead ore truly had such a function, what terrible thing was Vegapunk researching?

The use of lead ore that Mosen provided wasn't just made up. There were hints of it in the original work.

First, there's the name "lead ore." Platinum and lead, two metals, have properties in reality that are somewhat similar to lead ore.

Lead ore is mainly used in electric vehicles or car batteries. The symptoms of lead poisoning are somewhat similar to Lead Disease and are also hereditary.

Platinum, on the other hand, has a wide range of uses, one of which is as a catalyst for aviation gasoline and missile launch fuel.

In addition to that, there's the power source for the Pacifista. To move such a massive individual as a Pacifista, and to be able to fire Kizaru's Flash, requires an extremely large amount of energy. Ordinary power sources simply can't meet this demand.

Therefore, the World Government must possess some kind of new energy source.

In the original story, the only mineral the World Government intervened in the collection of, and specifically pointed out, was Lead Ore. Furthermore, when Flevance was later destroyed, the World Government had neighboring countries assist in suppressing fleeing Flevance residents and even labeled the people of Flevance with a contagious disease, all to prevent them from escaping.

All these pieces of evidence indicate the World Government's emphasis on Lead Ore. Lead Ore is definitely more than just a commodity to be sold for money. If it were merely about money, the World Government wouldn't have gone to such lengths, especially considering the vast amount of Celestial Gold they collect each year.
