Prologue

For the next few days, Mosen stayed by Dragon's side, and the two often discussed the future development direction of the Revolutionary Army.

Mosen also took out a "magic treasure" he had prepared.

Mosen handed the small notebook to Dragon, who flipped through a few pages and was immediately astonished.

"Mosen, where did all these ideas of yours come from? This is simply. Simply an eye-opening account!" Dragon asked excitedly.

"These are all things I heard from a neighbor when I was a child."

"Your neighbor is incredibly talented! Is he still on Sabaody Archipelago? I'd like to meet him."

"He is no longer here."

"He's gone? What a shame! It's truly regrettable that I couldn't meet someone like that," Dragon said with a face full of disappointment.

For the next two days, Dragon and Mosen "borrowed" a pirate ship and landed near Ohara. Dragon studied the contents of the notebook while keeping an eye on the situation in Ohara.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the Navy's giant Vice Admiral Hagwor D. Sauro rushed out of Marineford with a woman.

The events began three days prior. Vice Admiral Hagwor D. Sauro, a giant patrolling the Grand Line, suddenly received a call from Sengoku. Sengoku ordered him to stop his current mission and instead search for a ship carrying archaeologists.

According to Sengoku's explanation over the phone, the scholars of Ohara were researching the Void Century with the intention of awakening an Ancient Weapon and destroying the world. Sengoku commanded Sauro to execute all these scholars without hesitation once he found them.

Upon receiving the order, Sauro immediately turned his ship towards the location Sengoku had mentioned and pinpointed the archaeologists' vessel.

"Men, stay alert! The people on that ship are crazed archaeologists who intend to subvert the world. They'll likely attack us on sight. Helmsman, watch out for evasive maneuvers. Gunners, load bombs. We'll strike first!"

Hearing Sauro's command, the Marines followed suit, unleashing cannonballs towards the archaeologists' ship.

However, to Sauro's surprise, the ship carrying the archaeologists showed no intention of retaliating after being attacked. Instead, they shouted to the Marines that they were not pirates.

Sauro felt that these historians might not be as wicked as Sengoku described, at least the people on this particular ship.

After some thought, Sauro decided to change the mission from annihilation to capture.

Seeing another cannonball hit the historians' ship, Sauro quickly turned and yelled at the Marines, "Stop firing immediately! Just go and capture them."

The Marines immediately ceased their bombardment. However, Sauro's order came a bit too late. The scholars' ship was already riddled with holes from the cannonballs and was sinking. Many scholars had been killed directly by the explosions.

By the time the Marines reached the scholars' ship in lifeboats, only one woman remained alive.

The Marines worked together to pull the woman out of the sea and brought her aboard Sauro's ship.

Sauro examined the woman as the Marines brought her over. Her eyes were filled with defiance and anger.

Sauro couldn't help but ask the woman, "Are you truly seeking history to awaken an Ancient Weapon?"

The woman glanced at Sauro and said, "Our goal has never been the Ancient Weapons. We only wish to decipher history and reveal the truth. You Marines blindly trust the World Government, unaware that the World Government is merely using the awakening of weapons as an excuse to eliminate us. Or perhaps, you Marines know everything, but like the World Government, you fear the unknown past and thus try to stop us?"

After hearing the woman's words, Sauro fell silent. From how easily the Navy destroyed the archaeologists' ship, Sauro realized they weren't terrorists intending to subvert the world. What kind of terrorists would be nearly wiped out by a few cannonballs? Even pirates with bounties in the millions wouldn't be so easily defeated.

Sauro wanted to know why all of this was happening, so he ordered the warship to return to port, intending to ask Sengoku for clarification himself.

As soon as the warship returned to Marineford, Sauro eagerly sought out Sengoku.

Coincidentally, Sengoku also had something to discuss with Sauro. Seeing Sauro approach, Sengoku got straight to the point, "Sauro, the World Government has decided to implement a Buster Call on Ohara. I plan to send you to complete this mission."

Sauro was stunned. For the first time, he doubted the justice he had always believed in.

"Mr. Sengoku, Ohara has the Tree of Knowledge. That is the culmination of thousands of years of human wisdom on this sea. The ordinary people there are also innocent."

Sengoku sighed, "Alas! Sauro, how could I not know what you're saying? But those scholars have touched upon things they shouldn't have. They must pay the price for their actions."

"If that's the case, then Mr. Sengoku, please at least let me see the evidence of the scholars' crimes."

"I'm sorry, Sauro. This was investigated by CP9 and is top secret. I cannot show it to you," Sengoku flatly refused.

Sauro's eyes darkened, and he completely gave up hope.

In search of the truth, Sauro went alone to the prison and asked Nico Robin, who was imprisoned there, what Ohara had done.

After learning everything from Nico Robin, Sauro suddenly felt how ridiculous the justice the Navy had upheld was.

Were they protecting this sea? Or were they protecting the World Government and the Celestial Dragons?

If this was the Navy's justice, then he, a Vice Admiral, might as well not be one!

With that thought, Sauro decided to act according to the justice in his own heart.

He punched open the prison door where Nico Robin was held, then broke her out and escaped from Marine Headquarters together.

When Sengoku learned of Sauro's actions, his expression changed drastically. He had just informed Sauro about the Buster Call.

If Sauro were to leave like this, he might leak the order.

If the scholars of Ohara were to hear the order and be prepared, it would be a huge problem.

With this in mind, Sengoku immediately ordered the Marines at headquarters to pursue Sauro with full force. If Sauro resisted arrest, they were authorized to shoot him on sight.

At the same time, Sengoku also issued orders to the Navy fleets near Ohara, commanding them to surround Ohara as quickly as possible and be ready to launch the Buster Call at any moment.
