Background / History

• Founded by Dean Huangfu Xuanyuan, the Academy has stood in Jinling Imperial City for thousands of years, teaching the Way of Heaven, Earth, Monarch, and Gentleman 630.
• Historically, it operated as a vassal and educational foundation for the imperial dynasty, serving as a sanctuary where nobility studied alongside cultivators, though it maintained strict separation from the worldly Four Great Sects 520 633.
• Following the framing, torture, and disappearance of scholar Wang Xian on the Panlong Pillar, the Academy became a focal point of immense political tension, covert power struggles, and divine interventions 1 220.
• When external pressures and the Four Great Sects attempted to besiege the institution, a catastrophic break occurred: the Academy cut ties with the mortal world for ten years, and a heavenly sword cleaved a massive abyss separating the Academy grounds from the Imperial City 630 633.
• After the departure and ascension of the Academy's Teacher, disciples such as Li Dalu inherited the mantle, transforming the Academy into an impenetrable fortress that even emperors and supreme elders could not casually challenge 630 633.
