Ning Rongrong comes from the wealthy Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and is the daughter of its leader, Ning Fengzhi. Despite access to Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo’s personal guidance, she leaves home to attend Shrek Academy, attracted by its reputation for producing “monsters” 3 41.

Lin Sheng’s diary first unsettles her by exposing Xue Qinghe as Qian Renxue, placing her father’s trusted disciple under suspicion. His dismissive assessment of Rongrong herself then gives her a personal reason to seek him out 3 5.

During the Star Dou Great Forest expedition, she and Zhu Zhuqing recognize each other as diary holders. Rongrong identifies Lin Sheng from his age, academy, sword Martial Soul, and attempt to obtain a ten-thousand-year fourth Soul Ring. Their shared decision to abandon Shrek triggers the resonance that evolves both girls’ Martial Souls 10.

Warnings about Xiao Wu attracting Titled Douluos and Yu Xiaogang’s harmful training methods remove their remaining hesitation. They escape while Meng Shu and Chao Tianxiang confront Zhao Wuji, then travel to Heaven Dou City. Qin Ming accepts them into the Imperial Fighting Team as reserves 13 14 18.

Protecting Her Family and Rejecting Her Predicted Fate

Rongrong initially keeps Qian Renxue’s identity from Ning Fengzhi because exposing the infiltration could endanger her father and sect. The diary’s account of a future surprise attack—and the later deaths of Chen Xin and Gu Rong—turns that anxiety into a determination to secure Lin Sheng’s protection 22 24 25.

Her trust in Tang San collapses after the diary portrays him as neglecting the people who sacrificed themselves for him. She also begins seeking a way to evolve her father’s Martial Soul after learning that Aromatic Silk Beauty can produce the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda without diary resonance 26 42.

The revelation that her future counterpart helps administer the cruel Qiankun Asking Love Valley leaves her sobbing and horrified. Rongrong rejects that identity and forms a pact with Zhu Zhuqing to change their own destinies. Supporting Lin Sheng and the Holy Court

Rongrong obtains rare metals from her sect for Lin Sheng, returning with a storage bracelet filled with valuable materials. In exchange, he takes her and Zhu Zhuqing to hunt their third Soul Rings and teaches them to use Soul Tools 63 64 66.

She later introduces Lin Sheng to Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin to discuss rare metals and Martial Soul evolution. Ning Fengzhi authorizes further trades, while Rongrong offers help establishing the Holy Court and accompanies Lin Sheng as he searches for a headquarters site. Her reports also help bring her father into negotiations over supplying resources in exchange for Soul Tool trading rights 104 105 127 138.

Rongrong travels with the Imperial Fighting Team toward the tournament finals in Spirit City. She enters Lin Sheng’s already crowded carriage under the pretext of discussing tactics and later complains about his disappearance shortly before he returns for the final 137 150.

After another diary entry enrages her and Zhu Zhuqing, the two confront and strike Lin Sheng. Rongrong’s anger gives way to tears: she credits him with changing their destinies, confesses that she loves him, and kisses his face 167 172.

Her strongest loyalties are to her family and the elders who raised her. Predictions of their suffering strip away her usual petulance and leave her willing to accommodate Lin Sheng’s eccentric preferences if doing so can save them 24 25 26.

Although she acknowledges being willful and occasionally playing tricks, she regards the cruelty attributed to her future counterpart as a violation of her basic humanity. Rather than accept that outcome, she insists on remaining herself and changing her fate 43 44.
