Background / History

Tang Xiao was the Clear Sky Sect's sect master and Tang Hao's brother. When Tang Hao and Ah Yin were overwhelmed in the Blue Silver Forest, Tang Xiao arrived to rescue them, enraged by their injuries. He released all nine soul rings—eight black and one red—including two hundred-thousand-year soul rings, and injured Dugu Bo with the Clear Sky Hammer. 163

He confronted Mu Rong Chen's faction after Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo revealed their allegiance to Mu Rong Chen. Although he recognized the danger of their combined strength, Tang Xiao remained focused on protecting Tang Hao and Ah Yin. 163 164

During the battle, Tang Xiao was restricted by Mu Rong Chen's domain and repeatedly harassed by Gui Mei and Chrysanthemum Douluo while Dugu Bo targeted Ah Yin and the Blue Silver King. He fought three Titled Douluo alone, attempting to break the encirclement and create an opportunity for Tang Hao and Ah Yin to escape. 164 165 166

After Ah Yin's self-destruction devastated the Blue Silver Forest, Tang Xiao stopped the grief-stricken Tang Hao from giving up and urged him to live for Ah Yin, their child, and revenge. 167

Tang Xiao later fought Dugu Bo directly, but Mu Rong Chen ordered Chrysanthemum Douluo and Gui Mei to join the attack. He was overwhelmed despite using his Fifth and Seventh Soul Skills, then killed by Gui Mei's surprise assassination. His soul bones, including the Clear Sky Sect's inherited soul bone, were taken after his death. 168

Tang Xiao is fiercely protective of his family. Seeing Tang Hao and Ah Yin injured drove him into open rage, yet he retained enough clarity after Ah Yin's death to guide Tang Hao away from despair. 163 167

He is resolute and self-sacrificing in battle. When trapped by superior numbers, he chose increasingly destructive techniques to force his enemies back and buy his brother and sister-in-law a chance to survive. 165 166
