Uchiha Itachi: I May Have Slaughtered My Clan, but Is That the Same Thing?

Uchiha Itachi was deeply worried that Uchiha Sasuke might abuse his ocular power in the future. More importantly, it revealed that Sasuke lacked the temperament needed to control such power.

But before he could think further, a video appeared in the diary.

He first confirmed that no one else was in the room. Then, after setting up a Safety Barrier, he opened the video.

At the start of the video, a shuriken stopped Danzō's group of three.

Uchiha Sasuke frowned tightly. He recognized only Shimura Danzō. He knew the other two were Root members, but he did not know their names.

Then he noticed the Hokage Hat hanging from Shimura Danzō's waist. It was indeed something only a Hokage could wear.

In other words, Kitahara Kaede had not lied when he said Shimura Danzō became Hokage.

Then, in the footage, Danzō turned his head and saw a Swirl Mask Man appear atop a high platform. The terrain finally became clear as well—it was a Great Bridge.

"That's Uchiha Madara." Uchiha Itachi stared intently at the short-haired man in the footage, because this was the mysterious man who had helped him massacre the Uchiha Clan.

The man had called himself Uchiha Madara, and he was also the one who had brought Itachi into Akatsuki.

But in truth, Itachi had always been highly wary of him. The man claimed to be Uchiha Madara, and while Itachi had his doubts, his elusive, ghostlike abilities were undeniable. At the very least, he was unquestionably Kage Level.

"Long time no see, Danzō!"

In the footage, Obito Uchiha spoke. "Since the Uchiha incident."

When the Obito Uchiha in the footage mentioned the Uchiha incident, the Uchiha Sasuke outside the footage nearly lost control again, on the verge of exploding.

The image of his Parents dying before his eyes surfaced in his mind once more.

And that cold figure.

He stared fixedly at the Danzō in the footage. This was Shimura Danzō, the man suspected of having been deeply involved in the Uchiha Clan's massacre? The Danzō whose arm was covered in Sharingan?

In the footage, Danzō threw away his Cane, knowing that this was a hard battle he could not avoid.

"Fu, Torune, cover me." Danzō pulled out his sealed right arm from beneath half of his coat. "I'm going to release the seal on my right arm. Draw him away first."

"You're getting serious, Danzō," Obito Uchiha said.

"Uchiha Madara, his abilities are still unknown. Be careful."

Shimura Danzō said.

The name he casually spoke undoubtedly shocked both Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Sasuke outside the footage.

Uchiha Madara—even though Konoha had deliberately tried to erase his existence, it had never been able to completely remove him from history.

This was especially true for Uchiha Sasuke. He had often heard the clan members mention him while growing up. He was one of the two founders who had established Konoha alongside Senju Hashirama.

Senju Hashirama was the God of Shinobi, while Uchiha Madara was the Shinobi World's Asura, his equal in fame.

Although Uchiha Madara later defected from the village, even after decades, Konoha had been unable to completely erase his existence.

His life was too closely tied to Konoha's founding history. If he were erased, a massive blank space would appear in Konoha's history, leaving many things impossible to explain.

What they could not understand was why Uchiha Madara was still alive. Judging by his age, he should have been over a hundred years old.

Yet the Uchiha Madara before them did not look like a centenarian at all.

In response to Danzō's order, Yamanaka Fu and Yamanaka Torune immediately coordinated their attack on Obito Uchiha.

Faced with their assault, Obito Uchiha revealed his ability—he could turn intangible, as though he had no physical body.

Uchiha Itachi instantly committed this ability to memory. Hatake Kakashi and Uchiha Sasuke also silently recorded this piece of information.

For shinobi, intelligence was extremely important. Many people were clearly stronger, yet still fell because their information had been exposed.

They simply could not figure out what kind of ninjutsu this ability came from. Only Uchiha Itachi vaguely suspected that it might be directly related to the Dojutsu of his Mangekyō Sharingan.

Because it did not resemble any ninjutsu he knew.

In the footage, facing the combined attacks of Yamanaka Fu and Yamanaka Torune, Obito Uchiha casually used the Kamui within his Mangekyō Sharingan to toy with them.

All of their counterattacks were utterly ineffective before him. Obito Uchiha even possessed another ability, one that allowed him to easily suck people into another space.

In a short time, he directly pulled two Elite Jonin-level powerhouses inside and ended the battle with ease.

"Is this the legendary Shinobi World's Asura?" Hatake Kakashi looked exceptionally grave.

Although the Uchiha Madara in the footage had not displayed the overwhelming combat power recorded in history books, merely being able to effortlessly toy with Elite Jonin-level opponents was already enough to make people take notice.

Faced with such an elusive ability, Hatake Kakashi knew that if he were the one fighting, he probably would not fare any better.

"He can freely switch between intangibility and physical form." Hatake Kakashi wrote it down on paper as he muttered to himself.

"But there is no invincible ninjutsu in this world. This intangibility and physicality must have some sort of limitation, such as a time limit." Uchiha Itachi silently calculated in his heart. "And what exactly is that special space like? When this Uchiha Madara turns intangible, does he enter that special space? He appears to be outside, but is actually inside, which is why he can evade attacks? And how can someone sucked inside escape? Is it filled with traps? Could someone die the moment they enter?"

Uchiha Itachi was already considering how to deal with Obito Uchiha's Kamui Dimension. This also revealed that, deep down, he vaguely regarded Obito Uchiha—the man calling himself Uchiha Madara—as an enemy.

He had killed his entire clan because he had been forced to choose between the clan and the village, but that did not mean he felt any goodwill toward this man who had appeared out of nowhere, called himself Uchiha Madara, and slaughtered his clan alongside him.

To put it simply, were those things even comparable?

I did it for Sasuke, for the village. Who the hell are you?

Uchiha Itachi was already considering how to deal with such an intangible enemy. At the very least, he absolutely could not let the other party get close, because once they did, he might be sucked inside.
