Background / History

Kaede is a Konoha shinobi whose father, an ordinary Chunin, died on a mission. He lives with his mother, Kitahara Yoshiko. Though his body belongs to the shinobi world, Kaede retains the soul and memories of a modern Earthling, giving him knowledge of future events and an outsider's perspective on Konoha's institutions. 4 90

After recording entries in his mysterious diary for ten days, Kaede receives the standard Uchiha bloodline rather than an immediately active Sharingan. The reward greatly improves his chakra reserves and talent, changing his prospects from those of an ordinary Chunin to those of a potential powerhouse. 2
