Background / History

Alice is the legitimate daughter of Philip Boreas Grelat and granddaughter of Sauros Boreas Grelat, lord of Fitoya Territory. As a child, she was infamous for her violent temper: she was expelled from school at five for nearly beating a classmate to death, while privately hired tutors rarely lasted three days. 246

Despite her behavior, Alice took swordsmanship seriously. Under Ghislaine's instruction, she trained with real iron swords and showed exceptional agility, decisiveness, and talent; at eight or nine, she was nearing the Advanced Swordsman rank. 246

Wood's arrival at the Boreas estate challenged Alice's assumptions. She tested him by throwing her sword at him, only for him to catch it; after witnessing his abilities, she gradually shifted from contempt and jealousy to respect. She joined Wood and Ghislaine's training, sought to learn Sword Aura, and came to regard Wood as both a mentor and a close friend after he rescued her from a kidnapping. 246 252

During the teleportation incident, Alice and Rudeus were sent to the Demon Continent. Rescued by Rujierd, they formed the Dead End party to earn passage home. The continent's lethal conditions gave Alice the real combat and killing experience she had lacked, transforming her from a gifted trainee into a hardened fighter. 267

Believing Wood had died after the Dragon God's attack, Alice entered the Land of the Sword God to pursue revenge against Orsted. The old Sword God agreed to teach her for three years, provided she would not seek Orsted until she defeated him. Reunion at Ranoa Academy

After leaving the Land of the Sword God, Alice arrived at Ranoa Academy seeking Rudy. She confronted Badi Gardi after he insulted Wood, demonstrated her Sword Emperor-level strength, and then reunited with Wood after two years apart. 530

Conflict with the Dragon God and Human God

Alice remained hostile toward Orsted even after learning that the Human God had manipulated the events that led to Wood's apparent death. During the battle against the Human God's forces, she fought the old Sword God, who was bound by contract. 531 550

Wood's safety initially distracted Alice and diminished her effectiveness. After Wood promised her any reward for defeating her teacher first, she fought at full resolve, defeated the old Sword God, and was rescued by Wood from the collapsing secret realm. 552 558
