The Ancestor Who Fell into the Animal Realm
"Rather than saying they look alike, it's more accurate to say he's an ancestor of the werewolf race!" As the giant's fur grew thicker and wolf-like features became more apparent on his face, Urahara made a decisive judgment.
"You mean, this is a great sinner of the werewolf clan?" Ukitake asked in surprise.
"What are they saying?" Tsuna asked quietly, Ichigo him with his elbow.
"Wang-chan is a werewolf. Legend has it that their ancestors were reborn as animals due to sins in their previous lives, which is why they can only walk in the world as half-human, half-beast." Tsuna didn't know much either, so he could only guess. "Now it seems that their werewolf ancestor was directly reborn in Hell."
"That's about it. I didn't expect to run into this person here." Urahara had seen the Great Spirit Library Corridor and knew much more about it than Tsuna.
"So, aren't we leaving? Why are we staying here to watch him transform?" Ichigo asked.
"We can't leave!" Ukitake quickly drew a line on the Impermanence Diagram, and the four people's positions changed. Their original positions were replaced by a beast's claw. This werewolf ancestor had made his move.
"How could this be?" To Ichigo's surprise, he hadn't sensed any warning of the werewolf ancestor's attack. If it weren't for Ukitake, he would have been hit.
The werewolf ancestor, hereinafter referred to as the werewolf, has completely transformed into a wolf. He is a giant werewolf who walks upright, but his speed is still as fast as that of a wild beast. With a twitch of his nose, he finds the location of Tsuna and the others and pounces directly at them.
Now Ichigo understood. It wasn't that he hadn't sensed the werewolf's actions, but rather that the werewolf's speed was faster than the killing intent he sensed, and it didn't feel like a giant at all.
"Diamond Castle!"
Tsuna switched to the power of the Glacier Flame, creating a glittering Diamond Castle out of thin air in the wilderness to withstand the werewolf's attack.
The enormous claws were deeply embedded in the Diamond Castle; if they had been even a fraction slower, they would have perished.
This werewolf is nothing like a giant should be. It's more like the Black Rope Heavenly Punisher, possessing high attack and defense, but its speed isn't particularly fast under Komamura's control.
Werewolves, on the other hand, possess speed and Activation that made Ichigo feel as if he were fighting a high-speed enemy of similar size.
"Ichigo, don't just stand there. If killing intent doesn't work, use your spiritual energy to sense his Resentment. Your Bankai is also a high-speed type!" Tsuna reminded him.
The more practical the technique, the simpler it is. With Tsuna's reminder, Ichigo quickly regained his almost forgotten memories, and his stance changed from Fullbring to Bankai, allowing him to catch up!
In a flash, Ichigo and the werewolf were locked in combat, their bloody claws and black blades clashing repeatedly. For a moment, they appeared to be evenly matched.
With Ichigo busy, Tsuna and the others had some free time.
"Ancestors of the werewolf clan, what do you think?"
"The fact that he's been guarding the lava all this time shows that the actions of those Sinners are completely being controlled. This werewolf is there to monitor them," Ukitake analyzed. "As for the mastermind... without contact with those stronger Sinners, we can't figure it out yet."
"Judging from the battle between this werewolf and Ichigo, his strength is even greater than Captain Komamura's. For such a powerful person to lose his mind and fight us, I am more inclined to believe that Hell is behind it all," Urahara analyzed.
Perhaps seeing Tsuna and the others chatting idly, or perhaps because they couldn't break through Ichigo, the werewolf, or rather, its manipulator, became impatient.
A wolf's howl resounded through the heavens and earth, and a powerful Resentment soared into the sky. A large hole was torn open in the yellow mist-shrouded sky, and in the center of the hole, a blood moon appeared.
The moonlight tinted the werewolf's fur, and with the power of his blood-red fur amplified by his overwhelming Resentment, his fighting strength increased exponentially.
"Well done!" Ichigo also felt the immense pressure coming from the other side. He shouted, and a white liquid covered his body. A Red Moon as bright as the sky flew towards the werewolf.
Boom! With a single blow, half of the werewolf's arm was severed. Logically, Ichigo should have gained the upper hand, but the werewolf seemed to have no senses and charged at Ichigo without feeling any pain.
Not only that, but wisps of magma adhered to the werewolf's wounds like viscous liquid, and in no time, the werewolf's injuries were completely healed.
"High-Speed Regeneration?" Tsuna's tone was full of doubt; this didn't seem like High-Speed Regeneration.
"It's less about High-Speed Regeneration and more about the resurrection of Resentment," Urahara Kisuke said. "It's basically a simplified version of those previous methods of resurrecting Sinners."
"If powerful Sinners can heal their injuries using Resentment, wouldn't everyone be Captain Unohana?" Ukitake exclaimed.
Besides her swordsmanship, Unohana Retsu's strength also lies in her powerful healing ability, which allows her to recover health while fighting. Over the years, Ukitake has only seen Tsuna compare to her. Even Kirinj would pale in comparison, since Kirinj's healing relies on hot springs.
"This kind of power can probably only be used in Hell." Tsuna glanced at his surroundings. "It's hard to say whether it's because of this layer of Resentment that reaches to the heavens."
When Ichigo introduced this level of Hell, he called it the graveyard of the Sinners, and the sand beneath Tsuna and the others' feet was the product of the Sinners being crushed.
The near-desperate manner of death is also the reason why Resentment Sinners to the heavens in this level of Hell.
Tsuna and the others were relatively relaxed, but Ichigo was struggling. He had fully utilized Zangetsu's power, but even so, he couldn't stop the werewolf bathed in Resentment.
Ichigo was being beaten back step by step, but his life wasn't in danger, so Tsuna and the others didn't intervene. However, Ichigo felt a little ashamed of being beaten like this.
If the power of Bleach and Hollows isn't enough, why not add another one!
With Ichigo flick of his left hand, Ichigo conjured a black crescent-shaped longbow. He wielded Getsuga Tensho in one hand and Rapid Fire, a technique he learned from Ryūken, in the other, using the rapid-fire attack to suppress the werewolf's advance.
Ichigo actually succeeded, and the situation returned to equilibrium, with the Resentment werewolf unable to do anything to him.
"Ichigo can already use three powers?" Urahara a little surprised. He had been too busy lately to pay attention to Ichigo's strength. "Does this mean he's not far from Beyond Bankai?"
"Once he integrates the bow into his Zanpakuto, he will have entered the realm Beyond Bankai. Right now, he has only just touched the threshold," Tsuna said.
"Does this werewolf require power Beyond Bankai to kill?" Ukitake couldn't believe it. If that's the case, he had no chance against that werewolf.
"Not necessarily. It's just that Ichigo hasn't found a way yet. To kill him by force would indeed require power beyond Bankai," Tsuna said.
"Method?"
"The werewolf clan possesses a secret technique that allows them to temporarily transform into human form by offering their hearts, while simultaneously gaining a significant increase in strength. As an ancestor of the werewolf clan who fell into Hell, he couldn't possibly have been unaware of this technique."
Following Tsuna's finger, it seemed that beneath the werewolf's fur, there was indeed nothing there.
Tsuna's reasoning is simple: no one would willingly fall into Hell, and the moment they are bound by the Chains Hell, they would inevitably use their strongest power to fight back. It's not impossible that the werewolf offered his heart at that time.
"So that's how it is. Without his heart, he's completely degenerated into a beast. No wonder Hell just uses him as a tool here, instead of deceiving him like Black Blade and the others did," Urahara concluded.
While the group chatted, Ichigo gradually gained the upper hand. After adapting to this fighting style, his thoughts raced, and ideas for using all three abilities simultaneously appeared in his mind.
The Black Bow, Fullbring, was stained red by spiritual pressure. This was Ichigo's attempt to use the Quincy Blut method to empower the Black Bow with the spiritual pressure of a Hollow.
Unexpectedly, the familiar Reishi channels did not appear; instead, they completely stained the bow red. However, this also greatly increased its power.
Without Ichigo word, Ichigo retrieved his Fullbring necklace and threw out the crescent moon spiritual pressure formed by his Fullbring.
The crimson crescent moon rapidly expanded in the sky, which can be considered another form of Getsuga Tensho.
But that's not all. Only when the attack of Getsuga Tensho is added can it be called a true Getsuga Tensho.
Ichigo swung Tensa Zangetsu, and another black and red Getsuga Tensho out, chasing after the previous crescent moon. The red Hollow spiritual pressure of the two became a connecting bridge, and the blood moon began to expand rapidly under the enhancement of the spiritual pressure of the three.
When it arrived in front of the werewolf, the so-called crescent moon had already surpassed the werewolf's size, which was that of a giant.
"Go, Getsuga Tensho!"
With Ichigo's roar, Getsuga Tensho engulfed the werewolf, giving it no chance to resist, and the Resentment on its body was constantly torn apart by Getsuga Tensho.
With a single slash, only the yellowish-brown skeleton remained before Ichigo, kneeling in Ichigo deep salute to him, its lack of muscle support.
Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho was like a thousand cuts, instantly wiping out the werewolf completely.
"We won!" Ichigo excitedly appeared in front of Tsuna, proudly declaring, "Did you see that? My Getsuga Tensho!"
"Well done, the three powers have been connected, and Zangetsu is no longer an obstacle for you. When we get back, we'll find some time to go to the Soul Society training camp, and I'll help you raise your Beyond Bankai." Tsuna didn't hold back his praise.
"Great! Tsuna, just wait until I surpass you!" They're brothers, and when it comes to being stubborn, Ichigo never backs down.
"Now that we have enough intelligence, it's time for us to head back." Urahara closed his notebook. "I have a feeling that staying any longer wouldn't be a good thing."
"Ichigo will show us the way, let's go back," Tsuna said.
Just then, a sudden change occurred. The heavens and earth trembled continuously, and thick Chains emerged from the ground, binding the werewolf's corpse tightly and dragging it deeper into the earth.
If that were all, it would be fine, but those Chains weren't just coming at the werewolf; many more were surrounding Tsuna and his companions.
Like a flower gradually closing, it blocked Tsuna ' escape route from all directions.
