A Chance for Revenge
"That's right, that person is the one you've been looking for Dohane Aura." Tsuna confirmed Ginjo's guess.
"How could this be? How has she managed to survive all these years?" Ginjo asked Dohane Aura, his mind filled with doubt.
"Anyway, I need to go to Soul Society first. You can start searching for Dohane Aura's whereabouts," Tsuna said.
"What's so urgent?" In Ginjo's view, destroying the fake Xcution and finding Dohane Aura were the most important things.
"Aren't you curious about how a naive girl became what she is now?" Tsuna didn't keep you in suspense any longer and directly revealed the answer, "Back then, someone found Dohane Aura before you did. He was very likely Tokinada Tsunayashiro!"
"The Tsunayashiro Clan!" Tsukishima and Ginjo's attention were drawn at the same time, their experience of hiding in the Tsunayashiro Clan was still fresh in their minds.
"The entire Tsunayashiro Clan has been investigated by the Seireitei, except for Tsunayashiro Tokinada is nowhere to be found," Tsuna guessed. "I'm afraid he's the one pulling the strings behind this incident."
"I understand, we really should inform the Seireitei." Ginjo made the decision. "Tsukishima and I will go first to support Riruka and the others, and rescue as many people as possible from the confusion. You go to the Seireitei."
"Wait, who 'Kisuke care of Kisuke?" Ginjo remembered one of the main characters they had overlooked.
"It looks like the shopkeeper has been banished to some other dimension. Don't worry about his safety; with his abilities, he should be able to get out in a little while," Tsuna said.
"Alright, let's get started. I'll call Yoruichi back at the same time," Ginjo said.
Tsuna and Ginjo parted ways, and Tsuna walked through the Senkaimon alone to the Soul Society. Here, Tsuna did not rashly use the power of the wormhole, for having power does not mean that he can ignore the rules.
Tsuna obediently arrived at the gate of the First Division Barracks, and only after reporting did he meet Shunsui Kyōraku.
"You're back so soon? Did you see Hirako and the others?" Kyōraku asked while making tea. Since Nanao returned to his side, his work had become much easier.
"Yes, we found them. They were a great help, and we did indeed find traces of Yhwach."
Tsuna's single sentence was packed with information, immediately piquing Kyōraku's interest. "Explain in detail."
"I'll tell you the details later. Just know that Yhwach have escaped again, and we can't find them for the time being," Tsuna said, taking a sip of tea. "I came to see you for another reason."
"They got away? How cunning." With that remark, Kyōraku got back to the main point, "What is it?"
"Tokinada Tsunayashiro has most likely reappeared. His people went to find the shopkeeper for the Hogyoku..." Tsuna told Kyōraku about what had happened in the World of the Living and his speculations.
"They really are dishonest, hiding and not coming out and nothing happens..." Kyōraku sighed, then said, "Speaking of which, there's something about Seireitei that might be related to them. The corpse of that Quincy who imitated Yhwach, the Saint Letters Y, was just lost a few days ago."
Lost?
"It disappeared without anyone noticing at the Technology Development Bureau. Kurotsuchi Mayuri suspected it was stolen, but there's no evidence yet," Kyōraku said.
"That's quite possible; he's a habitual thief."
Tsuna doesn't remember much about the plot of the Tokinada Tsunayashiro; it happened after the Thousand-Year Blood War and was published as a novel.
Tsuna only remembered a few key characters, and also that while Tokinada Tsunayashiro was forging Ichigo sword, Tsuna stole a Zanpakuto from the Soul King Palace and gave it to his artificial Soul King.
Artificial Soul King...
Clues instantly connected in Tsuna's mind. "The corpse of Saint Letters Y... the Tsunayashiro Clan, who once wiped out Fullbringer, must still have samples left. Hollows are obviously easy to catch. In the end, all I need to do is inject a portion of Bleach's soul, and then use the Hogyoku to glue these together..."
"Hey, hey, what are you talking about? It sounds like something really scary!" Kyōraku complained. Being able to bring out all four powers was definitely no small matter.
"The purpose of the stall's subordinates in contacting the shop manager is the Hogyoku. I suspect they want to create an artificial Soul King!"
Tsuna's guess made Kyōraku gasp, "They've got their eyes on that position up there, just like Aizen?"
"We'll find out by verifying it. Do you have a way to contact Zero Squad?" Tsuna asked.
"Yes, the Kirinjī Tenshirō and the others are still in Seireitei. They must have some special way of communicating with each other," Kyōraku said.
"Have them ask Ōetsu Nimaiya if he lost an ancient Zanpakuto," Tsuna said.
"I'll go right away."
Kyōraku beckoned, and the Bleach in the dark room immediately began his operation. The two continued to enjoy their tea, listening to Tsuna recount the story of the West Bureau and the Fairy Tale Dragon.
Not long after, the members of the First Division brought back news that Ōetsu Nimaiya's forging ground was indeed Ikomomomaba a Zanpakuto that sealed an ancient Gillian.
"It's very likely that Toki took advantage of the chaos at the Soul King Palace last time to sneak in and steal the Zanpakuto," Tsuna said.
The last time there was chaos at the Soul King Palace was when Aizen wanted to ascend the throne. After Aizen caused a ruckus at the Phoenix Hall, Tokito stole this Zanpakuto.
"Where should we begin our investigation?" Kyōraku scratched his head. Since the investigation hadn't been launched yet, all searches had to be conducted covertly.
"If nothing unexpected happens, combining these things will require a certain level of scientific research ability, or it could involve using medical skills to sew them together directly," Tsuna, offering two options.
"The Squad 12 and Fourth Division will increase surveillance..."
"Not only that, but those who retired from these two squads will also be placed under supervision," Tsuna added.
"This is quite a workload. Inside Seireitei, I can have Soya Ashirogi keep an eye on things, Seireitei, it'll be a bit more troublesome."
The visit of the three captains, including Hirako, to the West Bureau had a certain impact on the Gotei 13. At the very least, Kyōraku dared not make demands on the acting captains as if they were the real captains.
"Have you forgotten? Tokinada Tsunayashiro incident, there's someone who's extremely useful. It's time to let him redeem himself through meritorious service..."
In the Sokyoku Hill, the deepest prison, Kaname Tōsen utterly bewildered as to why he had been imprisoned here for so long. Given his circumstances, he should have been locked up in the Maggots' Nest, if not thrown into the Central Underground Prison.
What's with being stuck in the Sokyoku Hill all this time? And to have a single cell with decent conditions and food, it's practically preferential treatment.
Two footsteps suddenly echoed in the quiet prison. Kaname Tōsen didn't even raise his head; as a loser, he didn't care what would happen to him.
"Brother Kyōraku, you've raised him well, but you've spoiled him a bit."
This voice caused a slight ripple in Kaname Tōsen Kaname's stagnant eyes; he still held some respect for this person who was stronger than Aizen.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi? What brings you to the Sokyoku Hill?" Kaname Tōsen's voice was hoarse and unfamiliar; he hadn't spoken to anyone for some time.
"When did it become this useless? Kaname Tōsen," Tsuna asked.
What is there to look forward to in a future without hope?
"Let me relay some good news to you. Kyōraku is now the Captain-Commander of the Seireitei. The great noble families, led by the Tsunayashiro Clan, have collapsed. The thing you've always dreamed of has been achieved."
Suddenly, Kaname Tōsen moved. He rushed to the cell door, grabbed it, and asked incredulously, "Are you telling the truth?"
What he had struggled with for over a hundred years under Sosuke Aizen and had failed to achieve, he had accomplished in the short time he was imprisoned in the Sokyoku Hill. What was the point of following Aizen for over a hundred years? He could have simply stayed in the Seireitei and witnessed his dream come true.
"It's true." Kyōraku's words completely settled Kaname Tōsen's skeptical mind.
Kaname Tōsen gripped the cell door tightly, oblivious to the pain in her hands. "Great! Great! Kakyō, your revenge..."
"Don't be too happy yet." Tsuna poured cold water on the situation. "The person who truly caused Kakyō's tragedy was not brought to justice. Tokinada Tsunayashiro escaped before the Seireitei could launch its operation."
"This..." Kaname Tōsen opened his mouth, then shouted hysterically, "Shunsui Kyōraku! What exactly is the Seireitei you're managing doing?!"
Compared to the destruction of the Tsunayashiro Clan, Kaname Tōsen it even more unacceptable that Tokinada Tsunayashiro ran away. Kaname Tōsen now wishes he could tear a piece of flesh off Kyōraku.
"Stop yelling."
Tsuna tapped Tosen's head with something Kaname Tōsen very familiar with. Kaname Tōsen startled; as a blind man, he was exceptionally sensitive to hearing and touch. Was this sensation from his Zanpakuto?
"You sensed it?" Tsuna shoved Suzumushi into Kaname Tōsen's arms. "Now that Tokinada Tsunayashiro might appear in Soul Society, I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself."
Taking the familiar Zanpakuto, Kaname Tōsen stroked it as he asked, "What do you need me to do?"
This time, the person who answered him was Shunsui Kyōraku, the Captain-Commander. "I will provide you with all the information about Tokinada Tsunayashiro. Find him and then notify us. Of course, if you think you are capable, you can be the first to strike him."
"However, because you actively helped Aizen Sōyasuke and were his accomplice, this achievement cannot cover up your crimes. As punishment, I will send you to Hueco Mundo Seireitei for two hundred years."
"If you accept, cut your Chains and set off. If you don't, I'll arrange for you to go to court at a suitable time."
As the Captain-Commander, Kyōraku's words were the Seireitei's decision. Without a second thought, two flashes of light appeared, and not only the Chains binding him, but also the prison gates were cleaved open by Kaname Tōsen.
"Your body doesn't seem to have rusted yet," Tsuna asked.
"I had no other choice, did I?"
Regardless of what punishment Kyōraku might impose, this opportunity to personally avenge Kakyō would be one that Kaname Tōsen would jump into without hesitation, even if it meant facing a sea of fire.
