The Allure of Ninjutsu

Seeing the massive hole Xi Yan had blasted open, Barry and the others were so shocked their eyeballs nearly popped out.

What had they just seen?

It would have been one thing for two enormous Water Dragons to appear out of nowhere in the middle of the sea, but they had actually blasted apart the Gods of Water afterward!

Subconsciously, Peepley Lulu swallowed and said, "Th-this is Ninja Bro's strength?!"

It was truly terrifying.

"So strong!" Zanbai said excitedly. "With someone this powerful going with us to save big brother, we can definitely do it!"

"Yeah!"

"More than that, this guy can control seawater..." Barry said.

He had seen it clearly. Somehow, Xi Yan had mobilized the sea itself and turned it into two Water Dragons.

Was that ninjutsu?

In a sense, someone like him was the nemesis of Devil Fruit Users. Any Devil Fruit User fighting him in a naval battle would be at an inherent disadvantage.

Fortunately, someone like that was on their side.

Boom!!

Rocket Man sped forward, swiftly passing over that enormous gap and successfully crossing the Gods of Water!

"We made it through!!"

"We survived!!"

The Franky Family was so excited that tears streamed down their faces. The feeling of dancing between life and death was simply too thrilling.

After glancing into the distance and confirming there were no more tsunamis, Xi Yan calmly turned back and said, "Those in the rear, if you spot anything else, remember to notify us immediately."

"Understood, Ninja Bro!"

Seeing Zanbai and the others looking at him with worshipful eyes, Xi Yan smiled but said nothing more.

After returning to the carriage, Luffy immediately sprang over. "That was so cool, Xi Yan!"

"How did you do that?"

"Those two huge Water Dragons shot out all at once!"

"That's right, that's right!" Chopper said as he gestured wildly. "Was that the ninjutsu you mentioned?"

"Nin!"

"Nin!"

"Ninja Bro, you're amazing!" Kimone said.

"Young people these days are truly incredible," Koko Luo Po Po said with a sigh.

Just now, several people had stood by the window and watched the entire process of those two Water Dragons forming and attacking with their own eyes. It had been incomparably shocking.

"Yes, ninjutsu." Xi Yan smiled as he walked over and sat down in a nearby seat. "That was Water Release ninjutsu."

"Water Release?"

"That's right, Water Release." Xi Yan explained, "It's one of the elemental attributes of ninjutsu."

"Then do you have other attributes too?"

"Of course." Xi Yan said proudly, "I possess Chakra of all five attributes, and I've also done some research into Yin Yang Release and Sealing Techniques."

He had sneaked into Shimura Danzō's Root organization quite a few times, and he had read up on some of its Secret Techniques.

For example... the Multi-Size Technique!

In a sense, the Multi-Size Technique was a form of Yang Release.

Of course, he also often read the Scroll of Seals. The Third Hokage had permitted that.

The look in Zoro's eyes changed slightly as he recalled what Xi Yan had said before.

If I truly wanted to do it, you'd be dead before you ever saw me.

That was right. If Xi Yan had intended to kill them, there would have been no need for him to board this train. He could have simply launched that kind of attack from afar.

If the high-speed Sea Train had been struck by that attack, it would have made no difference whether it hit the Gods of Water directly. Either way, the result would have been the train's destruction and everyone's death.

"You actually have that many attributes?!" Luffy said excitedly. "Then what are your other ninjutsu like?!"

"Can you show us?!"

"Hehe, don't be so impatient~" Xi Yan said with a smile. "There'll be a chance eventually."

They were about to enter battle. Why would he waste his stamina here?

With that, Xi Yan stood and headed toward the driver's cabin. Nami had just said she wanted to contact Sanji, and he wanted to know the situation on the other side as well.

"No, no~"

Luffy clung to Xi Yan's leg and refused to let go. "Just demonstrate it for me!"

"Yeah, Xi Yan." Chopper hugged Xi Yan's other leg. "Please."

What they had just seen was far too shocking. They simply could not calm down now.

When he realized he could not move, Xi Yan looked helplessly at the two guys clinging to his legs. Wasn't this just shameless?

Luffy was one thing. Sometimes, his personality was like that of a child. But why was Chopper joining in too?

Well, on second thought, Chopper was not much better.

"Hey," Zoro spoke up. "That's enough, you two. The battle we're about to enter will most likely be brutal, and our enemies won't give us time to rest."

"If possible, we shouldn't waste stamina so casually."

Though he did not know what conditions Xi Yan needed to use ninjutsu, there had to be some sort of expenditure.

Showing off ninjutsu for Luffy and the others could wait until after they rescued Robin.

"Hmph, damn Zoro."

"Green Algae Head!"

"Three-Sword Style!"

"Crack~"

Veins bulged on Zoro's forehead as he opened his shark mouth. "Was I wrong?!"

"And why did Color Cook's voice just appear?!"

While speaking, Zoro began searching for the source of the voice and quickly locked onto Nami's hand.

Nami had just come out of the driver's cabin, holding a Den Den Mushi in her hand. That Den Den Mushi looked exactly like Sanji.

Zoro: ...

Oh, so it was here!

"Hey, hearing my voice must make you pretty excited," Sanji said with a chuckle.

"Not at all." Zoro said disdainfully. "Looks like you haven't died yet, kid."

Though he said that, the upward curve of Zoro's lips showed that he did not truly feel that way.

At the very least, he could confirm that Sanji was still alive and well.

"Tch."

Sanji curled his lips, then said, "I heard our pirate crew has gained a new member, right?"

"Hello, I'm Xi Yan," Xi Yan said with a smile.

By then, Luffy and Chopper had already released Xi Yan.

"I'm Sanji." Sanji paused after speaking. He glanced at Usopp standing behind him and instinctively wanted to introduce Usopp to Xi Yan.

But when he saw Usopp's expression, he silently sighed.

Then he said, "I heard you're a Ninja?"

"Hmm?"

The moment Usopp heard those words, he perked up.

Franky was the same. They had only ever seen Ninjas in romance novels before; none of them had ever met a real Ninja.

Now that a living, breathing Ninja had appeared before them, how could they not be excited?

But when Usopp remembered that he had already left the Straw Hat Pirates, his gaze dimmed considerably.

"Yeah, I'm a Ninja," Xi Yan said. "What, do you want me to demonstrate ninjutsu for you too?"

"Haha, looks like Luffy already did that, right?"

"You really know him."

"Of course." Sanji smiled. "But something like that can wait until we have a chance later."

Sanji was also curious about what Ninjas were like, but he knew what needed to be done and when.

"Alright, let's get to business." Sanji said seriously, "Luffy, I now know why Robin left us, so I hope to receive your authorization!"

"What authorization?"

"Authorization to start a war!"
