Shrek Academy and Tang San

Yu Xiaogang taught at Shrek Academy and took Tang San as his disciple after learning that Tang possessed Twin Martial Souls. He arranged Tang San’s third ring from a 1,700-year-old Man Faced Demon Spider and treated the successful absorption as proof of his own theories 52.

He repeatedly promoted Tang San as the continent’s greatest genius and viewed Tang’s accomplishments as a way to validate his “invincible theories.” Reports of geniuses surpassing Tang San, especially Ye Liangchen, made him insecure and resentful 52 178.

His teaching was marked by visible favoritism toward Tang San. Zhao Wuji noted that Xiaogang blamed Shrek’s other students for defeats while treating Tang differently, and Tang Hao later criticized him for recklessly directing Tang San’s spirit-ring choices 125 167.

Exposure and Conflict with Spirit Hall

Bibi Dong issued decrees rejecting Xiaogang’s theories as plagiarized and false, destroying his public reputation. Xiaogang denied the allegations and accused Bibi Dong of deliberately ruining him 124 125.

Seeking a method to cultivate Tang San’s Twin Martial Souls, Xiaogang traveled to Spirit City and asked Bibi Dong for help. When she refused, he attempted to turn her against Ye Liangchen by revealing Ye’s Twin Martial Souls; Bibi Dong saw through the scheme and arranged for him to be intercepted after leaving the city 197.

Captivity and Public Humiliation

Scarface’s bandits captured Xiaogang outside Spirit City. He was tortured and mutilated over several days, then spent roughly ten days living among the prisoners 198 200.

During captivity, Xiaogang taught the prisoners basic cultivation knowledge, refereed their Soul Fights, and personally instructed them after their matches. The prisoners came to admire him as a teacher despite his circumstances 199.

After Spirit Hall’s Enforcement Team removed him from the bandits’ hideout, notices detailing his humiliation were posted along the road to Spirit City. Xiaogang returned to Tang San and Flender in red robes, makeup, and a markedly altered manner, prompting widespread mockery and the nickname “Eunuch Yu” 199 200.

Rakshasa God Test and Rise to Power

Xiaogang later attempted to manipulate the Worship Hall against Bibi Dong and Ye Liangchen by claiming Ye possessed a Martial Soul Evolution method. Qian Daoliu’s faction saw through him, imprisoned him, and tortured him instead 212.

His hatred of Spirit Hall led him to receive the Rakshasa God Test. The test allowed him to raise his cultivation despite Luo San Pao not evolving, and he was identified as one of the Fallen Ones after his soul “darkened” 264.

On Rakshasa Island, Xiaogang cultivated alongside Tang San by devouring the cultivation of fallen Soul Masters and Soul Beasts. This rapidly elevated him toward Titled Douluo level 449.

Sect Master and National Teacher

After reaching Rank 92, Xiaogang returned to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, displayed his nine rings, and declared the title “Three Cannon Douluo.” With Tang San threatening the clan, Yu Yuanzhen yielded the position of Sect Master to him 464.

Xiaogang sought to unite the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, the Three Great Sects, and the Heaven Dou Empire against Ye Liangchen and Spirit Hall. Xue Beng subsequently appointed him National Teacher of the Heaven Dou Empire 464 465.

Spirit Hall popularized the title “Farting Douluo” instead, and Xiaogang’s preferred title never gained public acceptance 465 466.

Death

During the Heaven Dou Empire’s military collapse, Tang San blamed Xiaogang for much of his own downfall. Tang San used Rakshasa Devouring to drain Xiaogang’s life energy, killing his former teacher before promising to avenge him 495.

Appearance

Following his captivity, Yu Xiaogang abandoned his prior black clothing for red robes, shaved his beard, and used rouge and powder. He later appeared with a shrill voice, heavy perfume, and coquettish gestures, becoming publicly known as “Eunuch Yu” 199 200.

He reacted poorly to rivals who eclipsed Tang San. Ye Liangchen’s superiority particularly angered him because it undermined the reputation Xiaogang expected to gain through his disciple 178 488.

Despite repeated setbacks, he remained self-assured and manipulative. He sought methods and alliances from Bibi Dong, the Worship Hall, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, and the Heaven Dou Empire, often presenting his personal revenge as a wider political cause 197 212 464.
