Background / History

Bai Jing awakens in Manhattan in 2008 with black-hole-related abilities, no clear understanding of his surroundings, and no cell signal. When three armed robbers confront him in an alley, he rapidly adapts, disarms one, and takes control of the encounter. 1

He becomes the boss of a Hell’s Kitchen organization and pursues the unification of the district through force, stating that opposition should be eliminated. 6 He later builds the Order Society into a structured organization with influence over Hell’s Kitchen, including real-estate and security interests. 77
