Otogakure wasn't large, but it was bustling with people. Hanfu blended into the crowd, keeping his eyes peeled and ears open as he quietly gathered information.

But as he made his way through the village, all he heard was the usual neighborhood gossip. There wasn't a shred of information about Otogakure's upper ranks.

A boy out on his own really could only rely on himself.

Hanfu picked up his pace. Half an hour later, he arrived at Otogakure's Office Building.

The building had only three floors and looked drab and unremarkable. Hanfu slipped inside and took a quiet lap around. He spotted quite a few Oto Ninja wearing Eighth Notes, and even a few who seemed to be Jonin, but he never caught sight of Orochimaru.

At last, Hanfu reached the office of Otogakure's leader. He peeked inside during a lull in the staff coming and going and saw that the leader was a burly-looking ninja with no connection to Orochimaru whatsoever.

Hanfu thought it over. Orochimaru was a S-Rank Missing-nin from Konoha, a "big shot" on the Black Market Bounty list. Even if this was his territory, he'd still have to show some respect for Konoha's wanted notices, wouldn't he?

So... Orochimaru must have another, more discreet office.

Where could it be?

Hanfu headed downstairs. As he passed the Mission Hall, he suddenly spotted several short, young boys.

Hanfu stopped in his tracks.

If he saw these kids one at a time, he'd never recognize them. But gathered together, with their arrogant, swaggering, insolent gait—as if the whole world owed them something—they had to be the Sound Five from the Original Work, right?

Hanfu immediately held his breath and tiptoed after them.
