The Surprise That Came with the Severed Arm

The basement of the Konoha Izakaya.

Wearing a white lab coat, Yakushi Kabuto examined the cell tissue in a glass container under a microscope. After a while, he let out a quiet breath of relief. "It finally worked."

"Worked?" Hanfu's Shadow Clone lay on the nearby Operating Table, yawning as he asked, "You mean you cloned the cells?"

Yakushi Kabuto nodded with a smile. "You can tell Lord Hokage to come collect the severed arm."

He still couldn't clone a complete arm, but even a simple cell clone was enough to support his research.

"Got it."

The Shadow Clone formed Hand Seals and dispersed.

A dozen seconds later, Hanfu appeared silently on the Operating Table in his pajamas, accompanied by a ring of invisible air.

"Lord Hanfu." Yakushi Kabuto bowed slightly. "Sorry for the trouble. I'm sorry for disturbing your rest so late at night."

Not at all... Hanfu had already become a sleep-deprived wreck, staying up until the early hours to collect the Otsutsuki Clan's genetic material at the first opportunity.

Hanfu smiled. "I didn't expect you to finish the cloning so quickly. Kabuto, you're even more capable than I expected!"

"Thank you for the praise, my lord."

As he spoke, Yakushi Kabuto led Hanfu down to the second basement level. He took out the severed arm, placed it in a test-tube-shaped glass container about as thick as a thigh, filled it with a special solution, sealed it, and handed it to Hanfu.

Hanfu took it and said seriously, "Kabuto, don't tell anyone anything about this arm. Understood?"

"I understand." Yakushi Kabuto nodded.

With the Heart-Binding Cursed Seal in place, he couldn't reveal anything even if he wanted to.

Hanfu then chatted with him about some amusing stories from the Orphanage. Only
