"Turles, why did you stop the Gravity Chamber?" Paragus rushed into the spaceship's control room and demanded angrily.

Turles waved a hand, dismissing Carl.

Once Carl had left the control room and closed the door, Turles leisurely walked over to Paragus and looked at him calmly.

Under Turles's gaze, Paragus gradually quieted down, his eyes beginning to dart uneasily.

Why is this guy getting more and more terrifying? Paragus thought.

When Paragus had calmed down, Turles said evenly, "Paragus, although we're allies in reviving the Saiyans, and I agreed to support you becoming the new Saiyan King, I still expect you to show me a basic level of respect." He paused, then continued, "After all, I'm stronger than you now, and among Saiyans, strength is what matters!"

"Do you understand?"

Paragus's face turned red, then pale, his expression growing terribly ugly. In the end, though, he answered quietly, "I understand!"

Turles knew Paragus was unhappy, but he didn't care. As long as he was strong enough, some things could be overlooked. Still, Paragus was Broly's father, so after putting him in his place, Turles explained, "Carl reported that our journey will be more or less over in three days. We'll officially enter the central region of the galaxy then, so I had him stop the Gravity Chamber and prioritize supplying energy to the propulsion system. Do you still have a problem with that?"

"Really? That's wonderful!" Paragus was still somewhat displeased deep down, but after hearing Turles's explanation, he happily asked him to confirm it.

After Turles confirmed the news once again, Paragus seemed to let go of his resentment completely and left the control room, full of excitement.

As soon as he stepped outside, the excitement vanished from Paragus's face, and a flash of jealousy crossed his gloomy eyes.

Turles couldn't have known what Paragus was thinking; he couldn't read minds. Even if he had guessed, he probably wouldn't have cared.

Two days later, Turles and the others reached their destination a day ahead of schedule. Everyone was excited as they looked at the bustling spaceport before them.

"Obsidian Planet is a completely neutral commercial world, and the only legally recognized planet on the border between the galactic center and the North Galaxy. It's jointly protected by the Galactic Patrol, the Galactic Mercenary Alliance, and the Galactic Business Alliance. That's made Obsidian Planet far more prosperous than ordinary commercial worlds. Countless spaceships pass through its ports every day, and no one knows how many powerful people are hiding among them!"

As a local, Jaco introduced the enormous planet before them.

"Indeed. There are at least dozens of powerful people here with battle powers over 100,000," Turles agreed.

Jaco glanced at Turles in surprise, then continued, "We'll have to part ways for the rest of the journey. I need to buy a spaceship on Obsidian Planet, then I'll return to Galactic Patrol Headquarters. If you're not in a hurry, you can stay on this planet for half a month. I'll come back to find you then."

"Sure!"

After landing at the spaceport, Turles and the others parted ways with Jaco and Tights. Jaco went to find the Galactic Patrol's local outpost on Obsidian Planet, while Turles and the others decided to explore the planet.

After agreeing on when to meet again, they went their separate ways. Turles had planned to explore on his own, but Broly wanted to go with him. Turles thought it over, then agreed. The two of them set off together.

Obsidian Planet truly lived up to its reputation as a commercial world. Business was booming everywhere, and its commercial districts sold an astonishing variety of goods. From planetary real estate to slave trading, you could find anything you wanted here.

As they walked along the bustling streets, they saw all kinds of aliens. Some had octopus heads; others were over five meters tall, like miniature giants. Turles even saw a pig being carried in a sedan chair, which opened his eyes to a whole new world!

Suddenly, a burst of cheering caught Turles's attention. He looked over and saw that it was coming from behind a huge white building. Through his senses, he could tell that a large number of powerful fighters had gathered there.

Turles called for Broly to follow and headed toward the building.

When they reached the entrance, they saw several words in the universal language displayed on a huge screen: Universal Mercenary Arena!

Turles immediately grew interested. If it was an arena, there would surely be plenty of fighting. As a Saiyan, he had no reason to miss it.

The moment he stepped through the entrance, waves of deafening noise reached them.

"Finish him!"

"Fight back! Fight back!"

"You idiot, get up! Get up already! I bet on you!"

"..."

Shouts and cheers rang out one after another, and Turles finally got a clear look at what lay beyond the entrance!

A huge blue energy barrier, shaped like an upside-down bowl, covered the ground. It enclosed an arena roughly ten kilometers in radius, where two aliens were fighting.

One had green skin, and his arms weren't like those of a normal human. They resembled a mantis's forelegs, like a pair of enormous blades. The other fighter came as a great surprise to Turles: he was a Namekian. He was already down, and his right arm had been severed at the shoulder, purple blood steadily flowing from the wound.

As Turles understood it, the Namekian population had dwindled drastically after a natural disaster more than three hundred years ago. Aside from the group the Grand Elder on Planet Namek had reproduced asexually, Namekians had almost disappeared from the universe. Other than Kami on Earth and Slug, a Super Namekian nearing the end of his life, Namekians hadn't appeared again until the tournament with Universe 6.

Turles hadn't expected to find a Namekian here. But the universe was vast, and it was possible that some descendants of those who had fled Planet Namek had survived, just like Kami on Earth.

Turles wasn't worried about the Namekian in the arena. From what he sensed, the Namekian had a battle power of 10,000, while the mantis-like fighter's was only a little over 8,000. The Namekian could at least protect himself.

Besides, Namekians had a special ability.

Just then, the fight took a turn. The Namekian suddenly stood up, roaring as his severed arm grew back from the stump.

Everyone in the arena was stunned by the reversal. Some of the more knowledgeable spectators had already recognized what he was.

But the ability came at a cost. As his arm grew back, the Namekian began gasping for breath, and his ki dropped sharply.

The Namekian with the restored arm resumed fighting the mantis-like alien. Their fierce movements and the energy blasts flying back and forth explained why the crowd in the stands was shouting so wildly!

The Namekian clearly had plenty of combat experience. He must have been careless before, because once he got serious, he immediately overpowered the mantis-like fighter. In less than half an hour, the Namekian had ended the fight, leaving his opponent unconscious in the arena.

Turles wasn't surprised by the outcome. Rather than stay, he waited for the Namekian to leave, then followed him at once.

The Namekian tried to avoid the crowds as much as possible, but since he didn't know how to conceal his ki, he stood out to Turles like a beacon in the night.

Once he was outside the city, the Namekian flew toward the wilderness and pulled on a black robe, giving himself a mysterious appearance.

Turles and Broly followed right away, but the Namekian's sight and hearing were far better than an ordinary person's, so the two didn't get too close. They followed from a distance, relying on Ki Sensing.

Before long, Turles sensed the Namekian stop moving.

Turles and Broly landed behind a boulder and did their best to suppress their ki as they watched what was happening a kilometer away.

The Namekian looked at the group of aliens with their varied forms, a complicated look passing through his eyes. After a moment of silence, he said in a low voice, "I've done what you asked. Where are my people?"

The aliens exchanged glances. One of them, blue-skinned with two horns on his head, stepped forward and grunted, "Come with me!"

With that, he led the Namekian toward a cave behind them.

Once inside, the Namekian discovered that the cave was astonishingly spacious. It was filled with cages made of Thundersteel. Some were empty, while others held members of various alien races. Many of the cages were stained with blood of different colors. This was plainly a prison where members of countless races were held.

The Namekian clenched both fists, his sharp nails piercing his palms as purple blood began to flow.

His people were naturally kindhearted. How could seeing this scene not fill the Namekian with rage? But he knew there was nothing he could do alone. Rescuing his own people was already the best he could manage.

He couldn't bear to look at the pleading or numb gazes watching him from the cages as he passed. He could only follow the two-horned alien farther inside, until they stopped in front of a cage holding two small Namekians.

Seeing the wounds covering his people's bodies, the Namekian glared angrily at the two-horned alien. The alien didn't care in the slightest; instead, he looked downright provocative.

"Are you going to open it or not?" The Namekian spoke to the two-horned alien one word at a time, his voice brimming with suppressed fury.

"Hmph!"

The two-horned alien looked at the Namekian with disappointment when he didn't burst out in defiance. In the end, however, he opened the cage behind him and let the two young Namekians out.
