Mastery of Qi

Waking from his slumber, Turles checked the flight log and discovered that a day and a night had passed.

This was Turles's first time sleeping since he had transmigrated. He now felt a sense of ease he had never experienced before, as if he had broken free from all shackles.

He began to attempt to sense his energy. He found it with ease—his Ki was clean and pure. It was a truly marvelous sensation. Even without using his eyes, the information automatically surfaced in his mind. It was different from what his eyes saw; because the connection was so intimate, his brain captured every detail of his movements. It was faster and more accurate than the dynamic vision of his eyes!

Turles laughed, laughing wantonly and unrestrained!

His hypothesis was correct. He had found the method; he had truly learned how to control his Ki!

All of this was thanks to the memories of his past life. He hadn't expected that his knowledge of the plot would not only help him in this world, but that even some of the cultural theories from his previous life would have such a massive impact.

This stemmed from a conjecture he had made. Previously, when he muttered the name Son Goku, it reminded him of the concepts Akira Toriyama used when creating the Dragon Ball Universe—for instance, the origins of names like Son Goku and Jackie Chan.

These all indicated that the Eastern culture of his past life had a profound influence on Akira Toriyama's creations. Given that, Turles realized that the cultural philosophy of "the unity of heaven and man" must certainly be an inseparable part of it!

Therefore, Turles stopped trying to concentrate his spirit. Instead, he let his thoughts drift outward. He observed the beauty of the universe and contemplated the wonders of nature, allowing himself to merge into the environment, becoming as silent as the sky.

And the best way to merge into the ocean is to become a single drop of water!

Turles imagined himself as a fish swimming in the sea, or a fawn running through the wilderness, unconstrained and free!

Clearly, he had succeeded!

Turles hadn't expected to succeed on his very first attempt. It seemed this body wasn't entirely devoid of talent. At the very least, the fusion of two lifetimes had strengthened his soul and enhanced his comprehension. The original Turles certainly hadn't possessed such powerful aptitude.

Turles easily mobilized the Ki within his body. A warm sensation flowed throughout his entire being—a feeling Turles had never experienced before. This piqued his curiosity, and he couldn't help but begin to attempt other operations.

After experimenting for a while, Turles began to slowly suppress his Ki. The energy within his body started to grow quiet, and the speed of its flow gradually slowed down!

He pressed the button on his Scouter once more.

"Beep, beep, beep!"

"0!"

"Truly perfect!" Turles exclaimed, crushing the detector in his hand!

He no longer needed this thing. He knew that Frieza had left surveillance in every Scouter; as long as it was turned on, Frieza could monitor every sound. Keeping it in his possession was a constant hidden danger.

Now that he could freely control his Ki, not only could he successfully lower his combat power, but he could reduce it to an incredible zero. This meant his mastery of Ki had reached a near-perfect level, much like Mr. Popo of the Heavenly Realm.

Turles felt the Ki within him; it felt like an extension of his own arm. Although the quantity had decreased slightly—to around 1,000—the quality had improved. If his previous Ki had been a fluffy ball of cotton, it was now like cotton that had been soaked in water. Though the volume had decreased, the weight had increased!

Turles nodded in satisfaction and drifted into a slumber while maintaining a combat power of zero. He suddenly felt a sense of anticipation for the upcoming journey to Planet Vampa!

Planet Vampa!

Paragus was preparing dinner—the front leg of a giant insect. On this planet, that was all there was to eat.

"Broly!" Paragus suddenly shouted, throwing the carcass aside with an irritable expression.

Broly's tall frame emerged from the cave behind Paragus. He picked up the insect carcass with a natural air and continued to prepare it.

Broly's expression was earnest, without a hint of impatience. Having lived on Planet Vampa since he was a child, Broly was always serious when it came to food; he never wasted a single scrap.

Although he had been stuck on this planet for a full eighteen years, Paragus still couldn't stand it. He thought about returning to Planet Vegeta every waking moment. He wanted to take Broly back, have Broly brutally finish off that bastard King Vegeta, and then take the Saiyan throne for himself to become the new King of the Saiyans. Planet Vegeta could even be renamed—Planet Paragus sounded pretty good, too!

As long as he had Broly, he wouldn't just be the King of the Saiyans; the title of Emperor of the Universe would also be within his grasp. He didn't fear that runt Frieza. When the time came, the entire world would be trampled beneath the feet of father and son!

Paragus was still there cursing and swearing, failing to notice a white spacecraft in the sky descending toward the other side of the planet at high speed.

Broly tapped Paragus on the shoulder, his eyes fixed on the white shadow in the horizon.

"Broly, don't bother me, handle it yourself!" Paragus swatted Broly's hand away.

Feeling Broly still tapping him, Paragus turned around in anger. "Broly, you..."

Paragus didn't finish his sentence. He followed Broly's gaze, and something from his memories appeared in his line of sight.

Paragus was initially incredulous, then immediately burst into laughter, patting Broly on the shoulder. "Broly! We're saved! We can finally leave this place!"

With that, Paragus didn't wait for Broly's response and immediately flew toward the spot where the spacecraft had landed.

Broly didn't understand why Paragus was so desperate to leave. He had no impression of the outside world and couldn't imagine the wonders of civilized society, as he had lived on this planet for as long as he could remember.

However, Broly was very obedient to his father, so he took flight as well, chasing after Paragus's retreating figure.

Soon, Broly landed in front of a massive crater, where Paragus was frantically searching for something.

"Why, why isn't it here? Where is the ship?" Paragus sounded somewhat hysterical.

Broly stood at the edge of the crater, watching Paragus quietly. He didn't know what a spaceship was, so he had no idea how to help Paragus.

"So this is Broly?"

In the distance, a hidden Turles watched the two of them from afar, his energy signature completely suppressed.

Turles had been awakened from cryosleep by his ship's system before entering Planet Vampa. He knew that Paragus was a true Saiyan—cold-natured and indifferent to life. Even regarding his son Broly, it was hard to tell if there was more affection or exploitation involved. That was why, the moment he landed, he had hidden his ship far away!

Having just finished hiding the ship, Turles had sensed two energy signatures approaching rapidly. He immediately returned to this spot and, sure enough, saw the figures of Paragus and Broly.

Seeing that Paragus wasn't wearing a scouter, Turles was slightly surprised, but he immediately realized that the old-fashioned scouters from eighteen years ago had likely exploded while trying to measure Broly's power level, so it was impossible for one to still exist.

However, after seeing Broly's face, Turles knew that the Broly before him was the version from the movie. This made him completely relax; at the very least, his life was secure.

Still, he would have to observe for a few more days.

Returning to the cave he was using as a temporary shelter, Turles suddenly felt a wave of emotion, his face making no effort to hide his envy, jealousy, and resentment!

"What terrifying talent!"

In Turles's perception, Paragus's strength was around twenty thousand. After all, he had been a high-class warrior in his day, so having such strength was within Turles's expectations.

However, wasn't Broly's strength a bit off the charts? He was only eighteen years old this year; how could he be that strong? Even for a Legendary Super Saiyan, there should be a limit, right? At the very least, it should follow some kind of logic!

Yet, in Turles's perception, Broly's combat power was already over 500,000 at this moment. This was an estimate Turles had made by comparing it to Frieza's strength; as for the exact figure, he had to admit he was powerless to determine it!

Even so, Broly's strength still shocked Turles. And this was only after Broly had experienced sparring with Paragus. Once more powerful fighters battled Broly, as long as they didn't kill him in one blow, Broly's strength would become even more terrifying.

Furthermore, Broly's combat talent was also exceptionally outstanding. In the original story, just from fighting Son Goku and Vegeta, he had completely mastered sensing Ki, and after falling into a berserk state, he was even able to suppress Golden Frieza. The more he thought about it, the more despairing it felt!

However, since Paragus's scouter was already broken, Turles felt he could be a bit bolder and see if he could make contact with Broly alone. According to the original story, Broly was still very simple-minded; if he could be swayed, he would be a great asset!

Taking a nauseating bite of the thigh meat of the cave's previous owner, whom he had just finished off, Turles made his decision.
