Planet B1000!
Three soldiers wearing Frieza Force uniforms walked down the bustling street, stopping from time to time to look around like country bumpkins who had just arrived in the city.
However, the brown tails around their waists kept everyone nearby from showing even the slightest hint of disdain.
Because these three were Saiyans, and Saiyans were notorious for their explosive tempers!
They were none other than Turles and his two companions, who had left Planet Vampa a week ago!
After a week of interstellar travel, the trio had arrived at this technological planet designated as B1000. They needed to replenish enough energy here before they could continue with their next plan.
However, after arriving on the planet, the three of them ran into an awkward problem: they were all broke!
There was no need to even mention Broly and Paragus; Turles's situation was no better. Who the hell knew if Saiyans needed to open bank accounts? Didn't they usually just take what they wanted by force?
Of course, this planet was under Frieza's jurisdiction. If the three of them didn't want to attract the attention of the Emperor of the Universe, they couldn't go around "shopping for free"!
Just as the three were at a loss, an alien also wearing a Frieza Force uniform hurried over. With a sudden screeching halt, the alien stopped right in front of them, bowed deeply, and said enthusiastically, "Respected sirs, Kalo, the person in charge of the Planet B1000 base, greets you!"
Turles and Paragus exchanged glances, neither of them speaking.
Do you know him?
How would I know him? Don't you know I've been stuck on Planet Vampa for a full 18 years?
Then why is he so enthusiastic?
God knows!
The two exchanged thoughts through their eyes, momentarily ignoring the alien who was being suspiciously over-eager.
After waiting for a long time without receiving a response, Kalo's expression stiffened. Sweat began to bead on his face, quickly forming a small puddle on the ground.
Turles finally stepped forward, maintaining a cold expression, and said coldly, "Take us to the base headquarters, and prepare some food while you're at it!"
"Yes! My lords!" Having received his orders, Kalo was overjoyed and shouted his response.
And so, Turles followed Kalo—who had a power level of only 1,000 yet was already the person in charge of a planetary base—to the base headquarters.
Planet B1000 was truly worthy of being called a technological planet. The base headquarters was housed directly inside a massive high-tech fortress, its exposed, menacing gun barrels serving to deter any enemies with ill intent.
Sitting in their chairs and looking at the spread of food laid out before them, the three, who had long been famished, turned into gluttonous beasts, rapidly devouring everything in sight.
Saiyans had a lifelong passion for two things: the first was fighting, and the second was eating.
That was even more true for Turles and his companions, who had just emerged from the culinary wasteland of Planet Vampa.
After eating for three whole hours, the three gluttons finally stopped. On the dining table, only three mountains of empty plates, each as tall as a person, remained.
"Burp!" Letting out a long, satisfied belch, Turles finally felt like he had returned to the world of the living.
"Kalo!"
Once he was full, Turles remembered the task at hand and immediately summoned Kalo.
"Yes, my lord! Do you have any orders?" As if he had teleported, Kalo appeared at Turles's side in an instant. Even Turles, who could sense ki, was nearly startled!
Looking at the sycophantic alien before him, Turles suddenly felt it wasn't so strange that this guy had managed to climb his way to the position of base commander.
"Does the base have a star map of the Galactic Center?" Turles stated his purpose directly.
"Hmm?" Upon hearing Turles's question, Kalo froze for a moment. However, as someone who had climbed the ranks through flattery, Kalo had his own set of skills and immediately replied, "My lord, the Galactic Center is already outside the Legion's sphere of influence, and Lord Frieza has strictly forbidden the Legion from entering. Therefore, I will need to search for specific star map data! The Science Department..."
"Then go find it. Give me an answer as soon as possible!" Turles cut Kalo off mid-sentence.
Interrupting him didn't stop Kalo from bowing deeply and scurrying out.
He dared not neglect the affairs of these three masters. After all, the base's scouters had detected that one of the three possessed a terrifying combat power of 22,000!
It wasn't until Kalo had left that Paragus spoke up: "Turles, is it really necessary to go to the Galactic Center?"
Turles looked at Paragus with a strange expression, puzzled. "Avoiding Frieza's sphere of influence to give Broly and me time to grow—wasn't that what we planned from the beginning? What, are you having second thoughts?"
Paragus thought for a moment before voicing his concerns: "But we don't need to go all the way to the Galactic Center! That's too far. We could choose some remote planets; wouldn't it be enough just to stay out of Frieza's sight?"
Seeming to see through Paragus's thinking, Turles's expression darkened. He stared at Paragus with cold, sharp eyes, and a terrifying aura began to surge from his body!
The atmosphere in the room grew heavy, and silence spread between the two.
Broly seemed to sense the strange tension, looking from Turles to his father, not knowing how to speak up.
After a long silence, Turles retracted his aura and compromised. "Paragus, it's not that I insist on going to the Galactic Center, but Frieza's influence is simply too vast. The entire North Galaxy is under his shadow. Even the Galactic Patrol in the Galactic Center has to avoid his edge and constantly shrink their territory. If I had my way, I'd rather go straight to the South Galaxy."
Seeing that Paragus remained unmoved, a flash of annoyance crossed Turles's eyes as he continued, "Besides, I've heard that the Saiyan ancestral home, Planet Sadala, is in the South Galaxy. It is said that other powerful Saiyans have appeared there! Choosing the Galactic Center allows us to leverage the power of the Galactic Patrol to search for our kin. If we want to revive the Saiyan race, relying on just me and Broly is far from enough!"
Hearing Turles put it that way, Paragus ceased his opposition and nodded, agreeing to Turles's plan.
You old bastard, Turles muttered to himself, if it weren't for Broly, I would have ditched you and gone solo long ago. Your vision is truly short-sighted!
At that moment, Kalo walked in with a purple-skinned alien wearing a lab coat. Turles recognized this race from his memories; they were a famous technological race in the universe, the Kabru Race or something similar.
"My lord, this is Karl! He is responsible for the base's research and development. He knows the star map data for the Galactic Center better than anyone!"
After Kalo briefly introduced Karl, he stepped aside, his sense of propriety perfectly measured—at the very least, it made Turles feel quite comfortable.
"Hmm!" Turles nodded.
A Kabru named Karl stepped forward, feeling somewhat apprehensive. With trembling hands, he pulled out a tablet, activated the projection, and began to introduce the star map of the galactic center.
Through the introduction, Turles gained a general understanding of the situation at the galactic center. Just as he had expected, the only major power present at the galactic center was the headquarters of the Galactic Patrol. Groups like space pirates avoided this area, making it a rare sanctuary of peace in the universe.
Turles nodded to himself, put away the data, and then asked, "Karl, if I wanted you to retrofit a Gravity Chamber into the spaceship, how long would it take?"
What Turles was truly obsessed with was a gravity training room; only with that could he improve his strength more rapidly!
"It might take half a year!" Karl gave a rough estimate. Seeing Turles frown, he immediately explained, "The technology for a Gravity Chamber isn't universal, so it would require technical collaboration with headquarters. That's why it would take so long!"
Upon hearing this, Turles gave up on the idea. He couldn't afford to wait here for half a year—there were too many variables. Besides, having to coordinate with Frieza's headquarters made it even more impossible!
Does this mean I really have to go to Earth?
Turles wondered to himself.
Suddenly, Turles stood up abruptly, his expression turning grave!
He had suddenly sensed a powerful energy signature rapidly approaching the planet. Judging by the intensity of the ki, it was at least over 10,000. Furthermore, two other signatures were following closely behind—one around 8,000 and another around 1,000!
The sudden appearance of a mysterious powerhouse with a combat power of over 10,000 made Turles wary.
"Turles?" Paragus asked, puzzled.
Turles pointed at the scouter on his face toward Paragus, feeling somewhat helpless. This was the disadvantage of not being able to sense ki; Turles had already discovered the anomaly, while Paragus remained completely oblivious.
Ignoring Paragus, Turles walked toward the exit. Once he reached the door, he shot straight into the sky, flying toward the source of the ki.
Soon, guided by the energy signatures, Turles arrived at the spaceship landing zone.
Hovering in the air, Turles looked at the three individuals who had just stepped out of their craft and felt quite surprised. He hadn't expected to run into these three on this planet.
Although they looked a bit younger, their familiar faces and signature tails allowed him to recognize them at a glance: it was Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz!
Looking at the three of them now, Turles suddenly became interested. A good idea formed in his mind, and he began to descend.
Because they were at a Frieza Force base, the vigilance of the three was somewhat relaxed. Aside from Vegeta, who maintained a sliver of caution and spotted Turles immediately, Nappa and Raditz only noticed him once he appeared right in front of them.
Turles scrutinized the three of them, noting that their features were not much different from his memories. Thinking of the Saiyan physiology, Turles felt a sense of clarity.
As a warrior race, Saiyans had evolved a physique perfectly suited for combat over their long evolutionary history. They would maintain a youthful appearance until the age of 15, but after 15, they would immediately enter adulthood and remain in their prime until old age. Therefore, although Saiyans had a lifespan similar to Earthlings—around 100 years or so—their youth lasted for a very long time.
At this moment, all three of them were adults, so it was normal for their current appearance to be little different from how they would look later on; at most, they would simply appear more mature in the future.
"Father?" Raditz suddenly spoke up.
The words Turles was about to say were choked back. He opened his mouth, not knowing how to respond to this "good son" who was actually older than he was!
