Background / History
Lu Junzhuo was Ye Chen’s junior brother in the Dragon Soul Organization. Possessing exceptional talent and a desire to become Dragon King himself, he repeatedly plotted against Ye Chen and was dispatched to take over the organization’s affairs in Suhang while Ye Chen was meant to leave for Yanjing. 68 73
In Suhang, Lu Junzhuo arranged an attack on Tang Yu and Bai Wanyi, intending to eliminate Tang Yu before posing as Bai Wanyi’s rescuer. He personally entered the fight after his men failed, using bone-shrinking and a Human Skin Mask to conceal his identity. 76 As a peak Xuan Realm fighter, he recognized Tang Yu’s Immovable Wisdom King Technique and believed he could overwhelm its defense through superior cultivation. 76 77
He later sought the Jade Lion at the Sishui Villa auction, believing it contained a Nine-Turn Pill and the Baji Bengquan manual. Tang Yu deceived him with a duplicate Jade Lion, made him spend ten billion at auction, and poisoned the pill he obtained. 85 88 90 91 Lu Junzhuo’s attempt to exploit the Wenren Family also collapsed when Wenren Yage learned that he had sought to kill her father; she and Tang Yu then attacked him together. 92
At the Ancient Martial Arts Conference, Lu Junzhuo revealed himself while Ye Chen was under siege. The two martial brothers fought, but Tang Yu’s interference forced them into a temporary alliance to escape. Lu Junzhuo was subsequently defeated and captured by the Wenren Family’s forces. 99 101
Long Shuai rescued him from the arena only to destroy his meridians, dismiss him as Dragon Soul “trash,” and imprison him in a pigsty. 101 102 153 Humiliated, crippled, and abandoned by the organization he had served, Lu Junzhuo accepted Tang Yu’s offer of survival and revenge. He handed over the Dragon Pattern Jade, requested to be controlled with poison, and pledged himself as Tang Yu’s “dog.” 153 154
Personality
Lu Junzhuo was initially proud, calculating, and intensely ambitious. He resented Ye Chen’s position as Dragon King, enjoyed controlling situations from the shadows, and repeatedly favored disguises, surprise attacks, and staged rescues to gain advantage. 68 73 76 97
His imprisonment transformed that ambition into hatred for the Dragon Soul Organization and Lin Fan. Desperate to regain strength, he accepted Tang Yu’s control without hesitation, offered intelligence and the Dragon Pattern Jade as proof of loyalty, and endured a boiling medicinal bath without complaint to recover his cultivation. 153 154
After joining Tang Yu, he became fiercely loyal and highly proactive. His vendetta against Dragon Soul assets drives much of his work, though he retains a ruthless assassin’s mindset and often frames violence, intimidation, and coercion as “doing good and accumulating virtue.” 160 186 1046
