Background / History

Ye Qiu is the biological grandson of the Old Dragon King and was supplied with vast financial backing and control of Wuji Group through steward Ye Buyu. He deliberately maintained the disgraceful reputation of a live-in son-in-law, believing that concealing his capability behind the title “King of Soft Rice” would help his eventual rise. 185 196

He spent five years as Lin Wanxi’s nominal husband in the Lin Family while pursuing the restoration of the Ye Family. He viewed powerful Yanjing families as pieces to be won over, beginning with the Liu, Wei, and Qi Families. 197 218 259

Ye Qiu is descended from both the Ye and Qiu bloodlines. His mother, Qiu Ruoshui, was the former Holy Maiden of the Nine Heavens Alliance and the biological sister of Qiu Xiaozhu; Qiu Xiaozhu had believed him dead after the Ye Family’s destruction. 400 437

After becoming a wanted criminal in Yanjing, Ye Qiu infiltrated Nine Springs Mountain and completed the Yin-Yang True Dragon Art, reaching the peak Heaven Realm.
