Lynch pondered an idea, then spurred the carriage on, discovering that he actually had a knack for driving horses.

A short while later, he arrived at Khoy University and asked a student to pass on a message to Mr. Azik, asking Mr. Azik to come outside to find him.

He paid a soli fee for this service.

However, the money was well spent. About five minutes later, Lynch saw Mr. Azik walking briskly out of the school.

"How are you? The messenger said you have urgent business!"

It's extremely urgent.

Lynch whispered to Mr. Azik about the things he had been involved in recently, which almost made Mr. Azik slap him.

Why didn't you come to see me sooner? What would I have done if something had happened to you?

Mr. Azik glared at Lynch through gritted teeth.

He's been reminiscing about the past lately, but all the friends and descendants he could recall have passed away. Only Lynch is still alive, which makes him cherish this relationship even more.

Lynch felt a little guilty; he really should have gone to see Mr. Azik.

But he worried that Mr. Azik would make him leave Tingen immediately. He hadn't even reached the top of Sefirah Castle yet; if he left now, wouldn't he lose everything?

Moreover, once he leaves Tingen, he will have to find a new job, which is a real hassle.

Seeing Mr. Azik's anger, Lynch could only make excuses, saying that he was unaware of Mr. Azik's strength and was worried that he might bring danger to him.

"I only dared to come to you after I finished the task. If you can't help me, I'll have to think of another way."

Lynch looked distressed.

Mr. Azik immediately softened.

He began to feel that it was his fault.

He could only recall a few memories, so he didn't dare to make any promises in front of Lynch and even taught him how to avoid doing missions.

It seems that Lynch concluded from these observations that he wasn't very strong, which is why he didn't dare to tell him certain things.

"My mistake!"

Mr. Azik immediately apologized, then looked at Lynch and asked, "You mean you want Megose to forget what happened before? I don't have such an extraordinary item right now; I'll have to go home and look for it."

However, I can now make her overlook the inconsistencies from before, and prevent Beyonder from discovering her presence there. But this will only last for a year; after that, we'll have to find a new way."

That's enough.

Klein was gone a year later, Old Neil certainly wouldn't be able to do so many divinations.

Lynch's expression relaxed.

"Wait!"

Mr. Azik climbed into the carriage and quickly set up what appeared to be a rather elaborate Ritual.

After a while, he jumped down from the carriage.

"Alright, take her away! If you need anything next time, come find me, just like this time. Don't worry about whether I can help you; I'm not as simple as you think."

Mr. Azik gave Lynch a hint; he had wanted to say more, but with students leaving school and crowds starting to gather, he had to keep quiet.

Lynch waved goodbye to Mr. Azik before jumping into the carriage.

As soon as he went up, he heard Megose's somewhat tired voice, "Mr. Trance, where are you taking me?"

woke up?

You woke up at just the right time.

"I'll take you home."

Lynch's brief explanation.

Megose relaxed.

She thought she was still in that nightmarish place.

Lanevus was going to offer her to those villains and Lunatic, and she begged him not to, but Lanevus ignored her completely.

When Megose was tied up there, she was filled with regret.

She remembered what Lynch had said and felt incredibly stupid.

Even though Mr. Trance had warned her, she still thought she had met a good person.

No, she did meet some good people.

Megose lowered her head in embarrassment.

She had just seen it all; Mr. Trance had charged straight into the midst of those bad guys to save her.

Later, she was knocked unconscious, unaware of how much suffering Trance had endured before she was finally rescued.

And before that, when Mr. Trance saw Lanevus bullying her, he immediately stood up for her. This gentleman was simply the best person she had ever met.

"Mr. Trance, could I give you three hundred pounds as a token of my appreciation? Please don't think it's too little; it's all I have right now. I'll give it all to you once I've saved up some more. Of course, if you want to marry... cough cough cough!"

Megose blushed and she coughed violently.

She quietly patted her face.

"Oh dear, Megose, why are you suddenly talking like that? You two don't have a romantic relationship yet. This will make Mr. Trance think you're frivolous. Luckily, you interrupted beforehand."

She mentally berated herself, then secretly looked up at Mr. Trance.

He had brown hair, black eyes, and a youthful, handsome face—the kind of face that women would instantly fall for.

He must have no shortage of suitors, right?

Megose felt a little disappointed. She thought about the unpleasant experience with this gentleman before and wondered if he had a bad impression of her.

"Gentlemen?"

She called out softly, wanting to say something more, when she heard Lynch say in as calm a voice as possible, "Then how about you give me ten pounds a week in addition to the three hundred pounds?"

Megose paused for a moment, then asked hesitantly, "Is this all? Is it enough for your allowance?"

Lynch:...

Shut up, he hates listening to these rich people at Versailles.

"Enough!"

Lynch gritted his teeth, afraid that saying another word would reveal his poverty.

"Okay, alright, I'll get it for you when I get home. By the way, were you alright?"

Megose's worried gaze searched over Lynch, Lynch felt as if the girl's eyes had suddenly turned into X-ray vision, making him feel uneasy.

"I'm not injured. I just accidentally hit Lanevus too hard and killed him. I was thinking of taking you home and then turning myself in at the police station."

Lynch thought for a moment, then tentatively asked.

If the girl wanted to call the police, he would go back and ask Mr. Azik to think of another way; if the girl didn't call the police, then the matter would end there.

After all, Lanevus really is dead, and it won't be long before Megose learns of Lanevus death from the newspapers.

In truth, this was True Creator mess, and he was the one who ended up cleaning up the mess.

"Dead?"

Megose covered her mouth in surprise.

Then she quickly realized what was happening and took Lynch's hand.

"Don't worry, we'll go back there and bury his body so no one will find it. Then I'll have my father call the police and say he took most of our family's property."

That way everyone will think he's a fraud who ran away, and you won't have to go to jail for it. That kind of person deserves that fate. You're a good person. If you were arrested, many girls like me would suffer!

Megose lowered her voice and tried to persuade her.

Lynch felt that in her eyes he had suddenly become a great person of extraordinary Justice, and a moral exemplar at that.

No, he's always been a very moral person.

Lynch straightened his back and said with a sincere expression:

"Thank you, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do. But please don't get involved in this. I'll handle everything. I don't want to drag you into this. I know that if a woman encounters something like this, she'll definitely be talked about!"
