Frye glanced at Lynch, unaware of Lynch's true intentions, and assumed he was just overly worried because it was Lynch's first official mission.

Last time, Lynch did go with everyone to capture members of the Big Meat Church, but at that time Lynch was only on the periphery; the real mission is this time.

He thought for a moment, then took a small bottle out of his pocket.

"Smelling it more will make you less nervous."

"Ah, good!"

Lynch, holding the bottle, looked sheepishly at Frye's retreating figure. He vowed never to harbor such petty thoughts towards Frye again.

"Captain, what should we do? I'll take you back for treatment first."

Lynch put away the bottle and hurried to find Dunn.

Dunn nodded. He was still very tired. Seeing the reflection of the True Creator, even if it was only in Hainasen's dream, had greatly corrupted him.

"Wait, let Frye..."

He was being helped into the carriage when he suddenly remembered something and quickly said something.

Lynch has already finished explaining it for him.

"Frye went in to collect the body. Leonard said he would take the gold ornaments from Hainasen's room and call the patrol officers on the street to tell the public that a robbery had occurred, things had been stolen, and Hainasen had been brutally murdered."

Dunn paused, then chuckled and closed his eyes, whispering, "You thought of everything. Looks like your memory isn't actually that bad. You've been imitating me all this time, haven't you? I don't have such a bad memory when I'm studying!"

Lynch chuckled awkwardly.

In the eyes of his teammates, he's now an extreme fanboy who idolizes the captain and Leonard, saying he even imitates their clothing gestures...

Forget it, let's not talk about it anymore. His Mimic Pathway made him lose face completely.

"Alright, Captain, stop talking. Wait until you get back and healed before you speak!"

Lynch refused to let Dunn say any more of that; he felt really embarrassed.

Fortunately, everyone says he idolizes Captain America and Leonard. If people said he liked Captain America and Leonard, he would jump off the carriage and die right now!

The carriage finally returned to the Nighthawks squad, and Lynch helped Dunn down and took him directly to the church's treatment center for contamination.

After seeing Dunn off, he left the Nighthawks squad and made a trip to Mr. Azik's house that very night.

He needed to make sure the necklace was okay; if it was, Mr. Azik had a way to save him.

"It's not a big problem. It's been tainted by God energy; I can make it dissipate. I just want to know, why do you take everything?"

Mr. Azik looked at Lynch helplessly.

This is his only remaining relative in the world, so why does he seem so unreliable?

However, after comparing his age difference with Lynch's, Mr. Azik quickly forgave him.

Compared to him, Lynch was like a newborn baby; who would blame a baby for accidentally handling something dirty?

Just say a few words to him and that'll be enough.

Mr. Azik sighed and told Lynch to leave the things with him until he had finished with them and would return them to Lynch.

He then asked Lynch to stay for dinner that night.

"We have a new chef at home, and the food is excellent."

Lynch readily agreed.

He immediately stayed at Mr. Azik's house, not only having dinner but also a late-night snack, and even staying overnight, only sending a servant to deliver a letter to Klein.

Mr. Azik's house is so comfortable; the mattresses are soft yet firm, making it very comfortable to lie on.

Lynch almost blurted out that he wouldn't share an apartment with Klein, but would instead live with Mr. Azik.

But after thinking about it, he gave up.

Mr. Azik's house was quite far from his workplace; a single carriage ride cost him eight pence, and a round trip cost one soli and six pence.

His commute alone costs over a pound a month, how much does he earn?

Besides, Mr. Azik isn't always home, and he gets bored by himself. It's better for him to share an apartment with Klein and the others, where there's always someone at home, and it feels more lively.

Lynch comforted himself for a while before finally falling asleep.

After sleeping until morning, Lynch quickly tidied himself up, took the breakfast prepared by the maid, and hurriedly headed to the security company.

Mr. Azik's house was a bit far from the Nighthawks team's house, Lynch had overslept and hadn't gotten up early, so he was more than ten minutes late when he arrived.

Fortunately, it was Rozanne who kept attendance records, and when she saw him, she only complained that he bought breakfast too late and that she was about to starve.

Lynch handed breakfast to Rozanne, glanced around, and casually asked, "Why is it so quiet today?"

Usually, there's the sound of Leonard and his friends playing cards, eating, and chatting, but today there's no sound at all, which feels a bit strange.

"You didn't know? Oh, right, you probably didn't go yesterday. Dunn got contaminated, Leonard helped guard the Chanis Gate, and Lota and Frye went to deal with Hainasen's matter."

Oh, by the way, Klein and Old Neil went to study. They said they'd urge you to come down as soon as they saw you, so you don't waste your time.

As if remembering something, Rozanne added the last sentence.

Lynch was speechless.

Shouldn't the person who's supposed to be learning be the first to speak up?

However, Rozanne doesn't like to talk about the occult, so it's normal that she put it last.

"I'm going downstairs now."

He quickened his pace to the archives, where Old Neil and Klein were.

Compared to Lynch's scene there, Klein and Old Neil were much quieter, one talking and the other listening.

They were so serious, it was like they were having an academic discussion.

However, the atmosphere changed abruptly after Lynch entered.

"Don't take your clothes off! What gentleman comes in like you, completely naked, without even taking off his vest?"

Old Neil couldn't help but shout.

Klein only took off his hat and put his Walking Stick aside, while Lynch practically took off his innermost shirt as soon as he walked in, coming to class shirtless.

"I'm a gentleman, not a clothes hanger. It's stuffy, hot, and inconvenient; I need to take too many notes."

Lynch completely ignored Old Neil's protests. He took off his suit and vest, rolled up his shirt sleeves to his elbows, and then took out his notebook.

Where are we? Can I keep up?

He muttered as he asked.

Old Neil sighed and rubbed his temples, his head aching.

"When Klein and I are lecturing here, we don't have any of these problems."

"Well, now you have it. Who told you I was your heir? Oh, and you'd better save on materials. I already said you'd leave your entire inheritance to me!"

Lynch glanced at the small box that Old Neil had placed beside him.

Did that Old Man sneak off to the underground market again yesterday while he was away?

Wait, where did he get the money? Could it be from the Goddess again?

Lynch stroked his chin, deciding to find a way to steal the small box.

He'd take whatever the Goddess offered; he refused to believe Goddess 'd actually be willing to give Old Neil money every day just to show Klein the cruelty of the extraordinary world.

The world is so cruel, losing one Old Neil won't make a difference.
