Lynch never intended to let Hainasen live. This guy knew too much about him, and his strength wasn't great. He could easily be caught by the official Beyonder, and who knows when he might be exposed.

So yesterday, Lynch specifically reminded Hainasen and Sirius to pray to the True Creator together, asking them to forget his appearance.

That way, when Dunn arrests Hainasen today, Lynch won't be exposed.

However, Lynch still planned to go to the scene to check things out, so that he could escape in time if his identity was exposed.

"What are you doing? You're on vacation today!"

Leonard looked at Lynch with a hint of skepticism. This guy really loves going to work?

Lynch's mind raced, and he quickly came up with an explanation.

"I want to accumulate merits so I can exchange them for Sequence 8 Potion as soon as possible, so I can better help you all!"

Dunn, Leonard, and Frye were all stunned, their eyes simultaneously flashing with emotion.

Everyone knows that missions can be fatal, so they simply follow orders and don't volunteer for anything else.

Only Lynch, who almost died for Dunn on his first mission, even though it was in a dream, knew Dunn's character.

Now he's even asking to take the initiative on missions. Considering how hard he's been studying lately, Dunn even suspects that all this effort is just to help him better.

"Okay! You can come along, but you must be careful."

Dunn remained silent for a moment before agreeing to Lynch's request.

Since this child is working so hard, why not give him this opportunity to earn recognition?

Capturing Hainasen today isn't necessarily dangerous. According to Klein's divination, Hainasen is likely just a Sequence 9.

Upon hearing Dunn's agreement, Lynch immediately jumped into the carriage.

"Sigh, young man, you should know that going on a mission can lead to death..."

Leonard spoke up, using the tone of a senior, to lecture Lynch, letting him know that being proactive about this matter wasn't necessarily a good thing.

It's very likely he won't be coming back this time.

But before he could finish speaking, he remembered Lynch's two previous experiences of dying in his dreams for Klein and Dunn.

Is this guy really not afraid of death at all?

"Old Man, look, the Lynch you suspect has never done anything strange. On the contrary, it's that Klein's somehow gotten himself into trouble again."

Leonard thought to himself, "This is what I'm thinking."

He planned to have a serious talk with the Old Man when no one was around. Why should Lynch, such a dedicated, hardworking, and fearless team member, be suspected?

The carriage was traveling on its way to the Hainasen family's house. Lynch had never been there before, and although he was a little curious, he was mostly feeling guilty.

Fortunately, everyone rarely chatted when they were on missions, otherwise Lynch's state would definitely have been noticed.

"Arrive!"

Dunn stopped the carriage.

They stood on the road, watching the carriage drive away, before arriving at Hainasen's house.

"Lynch, you stay here with the keys and wait, don't wander off..."

Lynch immediately refused.

He also needed to keep an eye on Dunn immediately to see if he noticed anything amiss in the Dream Infiltration, thus buying Dunn time to escape.

Fearing he wouldn't have time to pack up his house before he ran away, he put all his valuables in the space glove Mr. Azik had given him, so he could leave at any time without having to go back to pack.

"Captain, I want to go in. I've been training really well lately, and I'm sure I can be of help!"

He looked intently at Dunn.

Dunn pursed his lips, and then quickly nodded.

"Follow behind me!"

Don't worry!

Lynch said no problem.

Leonard began reciting poetry, and a quiet atmosphere spread. Lynch felt his slightly guilty mood gradually subside.

"Walk!"

Dunn issued the order at that moment.

Lynch immediately followed Dunn and Frye and began to climb over the wall into Hainasen's house.

This was a row of houses, similar in layout to those on Daffodil Street, but Lynch thought the interior decoration was much better.

The presence of several gold ornaments in particular made him extremely tempted; he really wanted to take them all home.

But don't worry, once Hainasen dies, Dunn will definitely have them take these things back to the team. After confirming that there are no problems, half will be given to the Nighthawks team, the other half will be divided in half, and the remaining half will be used for team building.

These are the spoils of war they captured.

I don't know how much it's worth.

Lynch only knew that he could earn some extra money again.

There's nothing strange about the house.

The three of them searched Hainasen's house three times. Dunn originally only planned to search once, but Lynch suspected there was some hidden gold inside, so he volunteered to search twice more. Sure enough, he found another gold chain.

Dunn didn't see it, and it was small, so Lynch simply threw it into his spatial glove.

He planned to go back and have Mr. Azik disinfect him, which might be safer that way.

"No, Dunn, I didn't find any dangerous items. Maybe he hid them well. Should I look again?"

Lynch glanced at the sleeping Hainasen and cursed inwardly.

This guy is so rich, but he got upset when I saw him buy two extra cakes. I really don't understand how he can be so stingy.

"No need, let me pull him into the dream."

Dunn smiled gently at Lynch.

The child must be nervous. It's his first time on such a formal mission, and he wants to do everything perfectly, just like he always has.

Yes, Lynch idolizes them and often imitates them and Leonard; everyone has noticed that.

Even Dunn couldn't help but laugh when someone admired him so much.

"Stay here and don't move."

Dunn closed his eyes and entered Hainasen's dream.

Lynch stared at Frye's expression. If Frye suddenly made a move, it meant Dunn had sent Frye to arrest him.

After all, Dunn was a veteran. If he discovered that Dunn was a member of a cult, he would definitely have Frye arrest him first without making a sound, and then pull him into the Dream Infiltration.

So if Frye makes any unusual moves, he'll run away as fast as he can.

But no.

Dunn barely entered Hainasen's dream for a few seconds before he turned pale and fainted.

"Team leader!"

Lynch immediately raised his gun, aimed it at Hainasen, and shot him dead, killing the man's body which had begun to mutate.

"Walk!"

Lynch carried Dunn on his back and tugged at Frye's sleeve as they ran quickly outside. Dunn only came to his senses after they met up with Leonard.

Where is Hainasen?

As soon as Dunn woke up, he quickly asked.

Lynch hesitated for a moment before saying, "He was about to undergo a mutation, so I shot and killed him."

Dunn nodded, still worried that Lynch and Frye might not react in time, allowing Hainasen to mutate and disturb the nearby residents.

"Captain, I'm going in to get Hainasen's body out."

Frye straightened his cuffs, which Lynch had almost torn.

He had been trying to tell Lynch that he was Corpse Collector and needed to go in to retrieve the body, but seeing how anxious Lynch was, he ultimately remained silent out of consideration and let him pull him out.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Lynch apologized to Frye with an embarrassed expression. Of course, he knew Frye was Corpse Collector. He brought Frye up mainly because he was afraid that Frye would take advantage of the chaos to steal Hainasen's gold ornament.

He kept the gold chain for himself, fearing others might do the same; that shows a petty and selfish mindset.
